Mary why don't you embroider something like . keep calm - gloves on , sorry just thought of that and it made me laugh. my sense of humour is strange I know.

rufus thank you for tips on quarters. OH said the Sally army charity shop is selling their stock off £1 and item so I'm going down to buy some random things.

Susan - Love that saying, be brilliant.

Miss Hoodie asked where we doing a sale on Sunday, NO!! why, I want to go and have a look, bless her, shes getting into girlie books and true life one on dogs. Bless her, we've just managed o wean her off Horrid Henry and Ronald Dahl, thou shes keeping one of each.

Shoudn't laugh, but she has took a book and left in the bathroom, so she has something to read.

She was so funny, when we were tidying mums wardrobe, she found a couple of books, the 2 x Paul OGrady books, + the one from Brendon off the coach trip, she said can I read them to nan, otherwise her won't get round to reading them! the thought was there.

If anyone is going onto ebay - theres a code

CUKFBI - on the freebie board £5 off your ebay purchase, 50,000 available, pay by paypal.

    - Got myself a treat, 2 x 100g fresh ground coffee, got Brandy Flavour, and Whisky flavour - 99p for both,

-Then mums paypal shes brought some Yankee Candle samplers - seen them but this will be the 1st try, got 4 samplers, paid £1.60. So very pleased.

One OU assisgnment done, thats gone off just now, got another to do by Thursday, should be a doodle, then 2 by Mid April, then am I looking forward to a break from studying, - don't get the results till Aug, but if I pass, gives me Foundation Degree in business, and Open Foundation degree. not as posh as it sounds, but a little morale booter. xx

    Hello all :j

susan - thanks for that 'keep calm' idea.........lol

Well - went to see boffin with OH yesterday, bit of prodding about his stomach to see where the pain was - lots of ''ouch'' sounds later he decides that any further operations on OH would be too risky for him so its a case of 'learn to live with it and keep taking the tablets' and he's now been discharged ! So, thats that. OH sees the back specialist in April and I think he'll say much the same. OH can't wear a back brace due to pressure on his stomach, had as much physio as he can -also due to stomach issues- so I can't see there's any more they can do.
He's ok about it though - says at least he knows where he stands and the thought of any repeat of last year doesn't bear thinking about.
So he's being positive about garden plans - he has to pay someone to do what he would have been doing but thats how it has to be, frustrating as it is.

So, down to me now to be positive as well - ordered some plants for the garden and thats a start. Tomorrow I'll do a bit more stitching and there's a boot fair on Sunday I'll attempt to walk round -might find a bargain or two (here's hoping):)

    Hope you're all ok:)

Morning all, found out yesterday YD has a hernia. She took herself to the doctors last week about it and never told me. Ended up in A&E last night as she was in so much pain. Sent her home at 2 this morning, said got to get the doctor to sort out getting her to be seen by a consultant as soon as we can. Luckily we have health insurance paid for my OH's firm so trying to sort that out but its not easy, being passed from pillar to post this morning, Drs telling me to ring insurance, they telling me to ring hospital, hospital saying I need to ring insurance first, then them telling me I need to speak to Dr first lol. I am waiting for the doctor to give me a ring sometime this morning and hopefully can sort something out and get the ball rolling.

    Hello all :j

rufus - sorry to hear about YD. OH has a Hiatus Hernia but hospital won't do anything about it due to all his previous ops.
I'd have thought A & E would have put her straight onto a ward and got it sorted out and what a carry on being shoved around like that. Would drive me potty. Best wishes and hope it all gets sorted s.a.p.

Well I've been bone idle today and done not a thing............not helped I suppose by a couple of lads calling in who were friends of the last boy we fostered.
Bulbs are all flowering and despite the ''builders yard'' and the work in progress all is looking positive and OH feels much better about things.
So, maybe tomorrow I can get my backside into gear and actually do something (for a change..........lol)

    Hope you're all ok:)

The bulbs sound nice Mary. We havent got any bulbs and we tend not to go out there this time of year. You cant see our garden from the house so we tend to just put flowers in for the summer months when we sit out there a lot.

YD is a bit better this evening. She has been taking the pain killers and said she feels a bit better. We have got her an appointment at the hospital on Thursday so will take it from there.

    Hello all :j

rufus - glad things are getting sorted out without too much waiting time.
I've never bothered too much with bulbs before but having some raised beds done last year means I can see a lot more plus the sink was moved to beneath the kitchen window and its quite a big one (window, not sink.......lol) so its nice to see signs of spring on the way.

I'm going to attempt to walk round the boot fair at the local school tomorrow........its just at the top of our road so I'll see how far I get. Its the first one this year and I remember this time last year being pushed round in my wheelchair. Hated it I really did.........mind you, got a good view of the stuff on sale, if I'd felt in the mood to buy anything. Maybe this year I'll get some bargains. If not, well, forecast is good so it'll be nice to get out.

    Hope you're all ok:)
