    Hi
Just thought i'd let you know, incase you hadnt seen the thread on it, that L!dl has cellophane (plain and assorted patterns) in stock for 99p a roll.
I only managed to get 1 roll of plain for my gift baskets last Xmas, so have been and got 5 rolls this week :D

They are also doing lots of different styles of ribbon for 99p each too. Just thought you may like to know about it if you do gift baskets.

Have spoken to my mum this morning and asked what her and my younger sister want for Christmas.

She said that my younger sister is going travelling around the world in November (she finished uni in Sept) for a few years, so i thought i could do her a 'travel inspired' gift basket. Not 100% sure what i coud put into it. I have so far come up with:

    5 year diary
    Disposable camera
    Scrap book (small)

Any others ideas woud be great!

And i am going to do my mum a 'bits and bobs' gift basket and in that i'll include an assortment of stuff:

    Scarf
    Leather gloves
    Nail varnish
    Mini bottle of wine
    Posh chocs

Your a star, doing a table top 2mor, not far from !idl, so will pop and have a lot.

Thinking about your sister, lucky her, i'd have love to have travelled when was younger, never brave enough, but now I like luxury too much! Unfortunately so does Miss Hoodie...

    But present wise
Compass - note that she always find her way back
    Small travel alarm clock
sim for travel card (car-fone whouse do one + seen online)
    photo keyring - family photo
lucky charm - add onto keyring, personal but not bulky to carry
check - international plug convertor (I always take 2 with me)
    little fold up shopping bags

    "taste of england bag"
check freebie boards, coffee sachets, teabags, hot choc sachet" - have a drink on me.

Maybe nearer time - Lush - a couple of posh toilettries - shampoo bar

    xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Hope everyone has a good mothers day 2mor.

All sorted at last - bit of mad half hr forgot where we'd put the cards, - they'd fallen down the back of the unit.

Mum (off me) dove set + strictly set (both £3 each Boots sale)
Mum (off Miss Hoodie ) same dove set and 4 x mini yankee candles (free £5 voucher from ebay - pd £1.30)

Nan (adopted nan) - !!!!! book (59p new! and home made nan keyring)

Me - not meant to know - Boots set (very popular), and FCUK set (£6.25 (75% sale) and a block of Mint Areo). Can't wait to demolish that!

Trifle made ready for tea, - certainly potent, as Miss Hoodie helped, and poured half a bottle of sherry over the swiss roll! xx

Shampoo bar in a tin - excellent call!

Also a sarong with a note: a sarong can be a skirt, or a dress, or a blanket, or a bag, or a towel, or a shawl ... it takes five minutes to dry and can do anything you want.

And a bar of laundry soap, to save her trying to take a Baggie of white powder through various customs setups ;)

A combination padlock for hostel lockers.

    Little first aid kit.

$20 for emergencies, securely hidden in one of those secret compartment things. Dollars are accepted in more places than £.
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
    Three gifts left to buy

Thanks for the ideas you guys, they are all brilliant and i'll add them to the list!

I have never heard of a bar of laundry soap before though. I know that some of her stops will include Canada, China, USA, Hong Kong, Australia, NZ, so i might add a few things from there too.

    Hello all,

Present cupboard looking really bare this year, i found the sales this year were really poor. Especially as i missed the boots 75% off sale as i had builders in. I have been looking for some nice gifts in sale as i am donating a lot of my gifts to the local autistic unit for a sensory garden. Hoping the summer sales might be more successful.

    Hello all :j

Didn't get on here yesterday.....got bogged down trying to embroider a 'primitive' style easter rabbit.......well, rabbit anyway............two attempts and now I'm not sure which one to put on whose card...............lol So, I'll sleep on that and have a go at a little chicken......see how long that takes me. Mind you, after loads of rain the sun came out so maybe tomorrow I ought to cover the cushion for the garden chair. Start to panic this month.............OH's birthday on Saturday (we don't normally bother that much and after spending on kitchen and downstairs loo....think that covered christmas and birthdays for few years........lol), week after is foster daughter's birthday, then week after than my sons plus fosterdaughters baby's christening !!! Eeek ! Haven't got anything for her yet............want to get a little pot for first curl and tooth.........anyone know best on-line site for something like that ?

After trawling for a floral coat the one I really liked is now out of stock so given up on that..........water butt is sorted (I'll get that from water authority-price works out the same and free delivery) so now it'll be trawling for tooth/curl pots for baby..........not that she's got any hair to speak of at the minute..........lol

Hope you're all ok:) Sorry.......not had time to read through all the posts I've missed
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi everyone, hope you had a great mothers day

Well i won at cheltenham races so happy about that, I won what OH lost and more. He daid he dont know why he studies the form , when I come along and pick names and then when seeing them walking about if I dont like the colours pick a different one.

Good job Jensen on winning F1

Thoughts are with fabrice muamba. Watched Bolton for a year, had a season ticket, was a good lad not a nasty bone in his body

My motheres day went to see the rugby and have had loads of flowers and chocolates. Have to eat them quick as Im starting Weight watchers tomorrow.

Well done Wales on winning six nation, must admit I cried like a baby.

As for organising - went into Asdas and they were selling the Elizabeth Shaw chocolates for 50p, dated decemember. So I got a stash of those and easter eggs. Might do pots of gold as well.
