Yay, Susan, well done on winning at the racing xx

I had a quiet Mother's Day, OH took me up the crem with some flowers for my Mum then dropped me home and went up his own Mum's. YD popped in for 5 mins with a pretty bunch of tulips, a box of chocs and a card then was off out again, then in the afternoon Son came with his fiancee and the baby for half hour, brought me a lovely bunch of flowers and a card. Didn't hear from ED until later in the eve when YD came into pick up something and brought round another card, then she was off again. Then OH tells me he wasn't coming home, was staying at his Mum's overnight so spent most of the day on my own. I didnt waste the time though, was writing some reviews for the sites I go on and then spent a couple of hours updating my shop and facebok pages.

    morning all
cleggie my god daughter did a trek across the world 2 years ago i got her a map from red5 (the gadget shop also sell them) its world map that rolls into a cardboard tube with loads of info about the countries on the back the 'map' side is coated in scratch card type stuff so you can scratch your way across the countries you vist i think they do large and small i got the small traveller size which i think cost about £15.
lush shampoo bars are a must, she also took a tube of concentrated washing stuff she said one tube lasted her the year and even bought some home dont know what its called but a tiny blob apparently washed whatever was needed each time.
hope she has a lovely adventure.

hope everyone had a good weekend
special hugs to those who needed them yesterday, mums day is not always easy

    Hello all :j

susan - well done with your win on the horses......mine fell at the first fence.............lol Mind you I did only have £1 each way........I know my luck.........lol

MIL was thrilled with her £5 lottery ticket.........said she'd probably die of heart attack if she won and how could she get the ticket back to us............lol
Quiet day for me.........foster daughter was coming round but baby was ill so she'll pop over in the week sometime.
Bit of a 'nothing day' today........spent half the morning looking for OH's bank book........couldn't find it despite searching every drawer in the house so expect it'll turn up somewhere its no business being. Bank sorted things out anyway so no problem but it fair wore me out. Meant to cover garden seat cushion but back ached so much after bending down so much I gave up and resorted to plan B -do it tomorrow.............lol Thats in between making coffee for gardener chap and his mate shovelling topsoil down the veg plot.

    Hope you're all ok :)

All fun here, we have some good news--

Chairlift saga - Another OT out today (our nice one), she was fuming, she;d brought a bloke to do a quote, as it charity based they have to have 2, he confirmed we'd been fitted a pig in a poke! (yep we knew that), if he gets the contract, (mum said he was really nice), he said be 3 weeks, and the brochere he left, makes the new one look like a Rolls Royce.

Good news - for me - At last I have finally got rid of this chest bug, and the steriods are doing their job getting my lungs back up + working, won't get the x-ray results for another week had the dog laughing I told him I was craving boiled eggs he howled, then are you expecting......NO.......

But - I've got to go back again next week, at least there keeping a check on everything.

Finally ordered my Kindle - didn't have to pay a penny - used vouchers so plzed, got a couple books ready downloaded! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hello all :j

mum2one - glad you're feeling better and the stair lift is getting sorted.

My 'plan B' of covering garden chair cushion went out the window today. To many folk about. Cleaner came, gardener chap and his mate were back and forth with yet more top soil (how much does OH need ??) then young lad turned up to clean the windows - at last..........2 phone messages to get him here. Seemed to spend half my time making coffee and then more coffee. Did manage to embroider a little basket of flowers to stick on an easter card......probably for MIL -not sure yet.
Thats been about it..........least now I can see out of my windows........didn't realise how mucky they were.

    Hope youre all ok :)

Blimey moneypenny, I had to read that twice!! I can't believe they will be so expensive. Are they trying to do them selves out of a job?

We took YD for her scan this morning, but wont know anything till we see the other bloke on Thursday. Spent the afternoon making a start on the garden, OH did a bit of sweeping and scrubbing on the patio to get some of the green slimey stuff off, looks a lot better out there now but still a lot more to do.

We are going to a christening on Sunday and YD tells us this morning shes got nothing to wear so we popped into town and had a look in New Look. She found a pair of brown jeans she liked and a shirt that went with it, then she needed a top to go under the shirt as "no one wears them done up", then she had to have new shoes to match. Glad OH was with us as he went halves.

Morning all, I am quite happy this morning. I had a payment yesterday from Ciao for some reviews I had done and I now have enough money put by to pay for YD's provisional driving license and my half of the 10 lessons too and her birthday isnt until July so sorted for that. I also got some more Amazon vouchers and have enough to pay for OH's blu ray player as well, thats not till August so I wont buy it until may be end of June in case it doesn't work. Granddaughters birthday is same day as OH's in August and I picked up the book bundle I ordered for her yesterday while up the town so will just need to buy her some sweets or something to go with them. Thats all birthdays sorted now until September.

Off out today to see ExMil as its her birthday on Friday so taking her present and card round.
