rufus - glad the op went ok. Hope she's back to normal soon

Not done a lot today except get emergency appt with gp for cystitus (sorry if thats too much information) Tried chemist sachets but they haven't worked so now its antibiotics. When I rang the asked for a 'specimen'..........no 'specimen' bootle says I. Oh well says receptionist, you can do one when you get here............could I heck as like ! Always the way........some things cannot be produced on demand.
So, hoping now these pills work. It was a nice walk to the surgery.....its not far and its an old vicarage.........lovely stream running through the grounds and geese and ducks around plus the sunshine. Thats twice this week I've been out....dentist Monday and now gp. First time I've done two ''walks''.............so I clap my hands for myself for that:T

Mum2one, how on earth can they tell him not to go in his own garden when the kids are out there lol, flipping cheek of them.

YD is a bit better still today. Had her BF round for a bbq this afternoon and we had a good time, playing monopoly in the garden. I always lose and OH always wins lol.

We have been busy out there getting it all tidied up while the weather has been nice. Put some more slabs down this morning with some pebbles around them, they look nice, need to get a couple more tomorrow if we go out. Made a list as there are some other bits and bobs we want for out there before the summer starts.

mary, hope you feel better, in the nicest of ways I'm so glad its not just me who can't do the "on demand" even if I was at bursting point it refuses to move, xx

Not been on for a while because of one thing or another, hope everyone is keeping well, not had chance to catch up yet, but when i do i will be catching up with challenge too. Having a good clean up today and tomorrow.

Hi everyone. Spent another day out in the garden. OH bought some of those decking tiles to cover up out broken pathway. The area was a bit narrow for two tiles to fit so I had to cut the sides off some of them to get them to lay down properly. Been an all day job but managed to get it done and its looking a lot better. Just need to get a few more now to continue it on a but further.

Weather has been lovely again, two of the grandchildren came after school and helped me finish it off out there and tidy up which I was so glad of as my back was aching.

Supposed to be a lot cooler over the weekend so glad I got it all done today. I can have a nice relaxing weekend now.

Feeling better now........think the pills must be working thank goodness.
Eldest son coming on Sunday till Monday and his girlfriends making a Spag Bol to save us cooking ! She always offers and I always say not to bother but she insists this time that she's not going to put us out. OH (head chef ) says its fine by him and he'll do a big brunch for them Monday morning before they go. Be lovely to see grandson again.
Then had phone call from my brother -unusual in itself ! He's coming to see me 15th/16th April ! Not been up here for about 20 years ! He rang from Ikea and wondered if I wanted a stool for the bathroom -I got one ages ago but nice of him to offer.............and very unusual ! Takes a lot of getting used this ''nice big brother'' ...we must have spent years of childhood into being adults arguing about something or nothing. I'm looking forward to seeing him.

Got all my Easter cards with stamps on now and letters inside ready to post............post has taken so long lately............4 days for OH's birthday card from his mum......3 days for a letter to go 7 miles.......so I'm doing it early.

Gardens coming on well.........as well as carrots OH's now planted potatoes..........thrilled to bits with himself that he's able to do it. Brick raised bed is starting to take shape as well.
Weather changes over the weekend but hopefully it'll be fine enough next week for the gardener chap to finish off what he's started.

Glad your feeling better, and the garden sounds like its coming on brilliantly. sounds nice having son + gf over at weekend, and your brother, def an odd offer of a gift a bathroom stool, but maybe method in his madness as they say!!

Hope the weather holds, taking Miss hoodie out to the icecream farm Sat, just the four us going, with the week we have been a ngtmare, and another yr older another yr wiser!! maybe the 1st part right, and normally its a family meal at the local pub, and I thought what we spend there, we can have a day at the farm, fresh air, fab icecream and miss Hoodie loves it, so I want a family day.

The school saga - dads been upset the last few days, he won't go in the garden or leave the house unless theres one of us watching him, its knocked him for 6, as he said although the word wasn't said the implication was hes not a nice person. you can get the just of it. We've now reported the matter to the police, more to cover ourselves as schools broke up today, and were concerned with rumours flying, half expecting a brick through the window, theyve taken it seriously.
later on - the new poles and tape got removed....... so wait and see game.

Mum2one, hope they get it sorted out, sounds like a right carry on and not at all fair on your poor Dad.

Glad I got the garden done yesterday as its not that nice out today so I am having a day in resting doing nothing much but watch tele and surf the web.

poor Miss Hoodie come down with a sickness bug this morning, sods law as its start of the school holidays! and we were due to go out for the day. x
