    Hello all :j

mum2one - I hope things get sorted..........all seems so unfair

Remembered today its one of my friends birthdays on Tuesday.......after a minor panic I sorted out one the stitched mottos I'd framed, made a fabric heart in the same colours, and rooted through the drawers to find other bits and bobs for her so now thats sorted.

Ordered yet another floral jacket.............from bhs.........was out of stock then appeared again. Well, it fits, I like it and now the weathers turned be too cold to wear it  So have to have a re-think. Shoes are a problem. Only have sandals and boots and some 'summer' flats (have to have flats with my back) but did remember a pair of beige ones with a strap..........if I can find them. Then need to check if OH's suit fits................oh I hate going to ''dos''...........all this for christening, honest, who's going to inspect my shoes...........lol

    Hope you're all ok:)

I've decided i'm 21 again!! it feels weird being 41, without sounding daft it feels a let down, i don't know whether the old saying life begins at 40.

She's bit brighter, shes been on the settee, but touch wood not poorly, I personally think someones had a go at her at schoolm this I'm poorly kicked off after that.

I totally agree re what OH says its society now, everyone os presumed guilty before being innocent, yet in 1 in million thats wrong but we're all tarred with the same bruch.

Very quiet day, - quite pleased as managed to shift 6 things on ebay, go nother 8 going 2mor, so far 3 have got bids. Keep me out of trouble wrapping the parcels!

Hope everyone having a gd weekend, xx

Happy birthday for yesterday M21 :bdaycake: I remember being 41. Just. Memory must be better than i thought it was :rotfl:

Went to friend Penny's 60th. Can't remember if I mentioned my idea for a :money: present on here. I used a nice Bonne Maman jam jar I'd saved, put a sticker on it saying '60 uses for an old Penny' and filled it with 60 slips of paper (cut up green and pink postits without the sticky bi cos that's all I had to hand lol) with things to do with an old penny. Went down very well. So now thinking up some other imaginative ideas for pressies in a jar. Better get eating lots of jam :p
I found a site with 'kit' ideas which may give me some pointers and thought I'd share the idea http://sawyers-specialties.com/survival-kits/
Right, off to gather rabbit poo (chocolate raisins) for Easter pressies http://sawyers-specialties.com/poops/Easter-Poop-Candy-Treat.php

Afternoon all, I have got a bit further up the path with the decking tiles today with the help of middle GS. Just need to buy 4 more squares to finish it off tomorrow.

Its been quite sunny down here today but a bit chilly, not as warm as it has been. Having a well earned rest now. Hope you all had a nice weekend xx

    Hello all :j

mum2one-Belated birthday wishes.........oh to turn the clock back and be that age again. Lucky you...............I'm starting to lower my age with each birthday........I refuse to get any older..........lol

susan - you can laugh at my shoe dilemma............oh it gets worse. The ones I thought I had I can't find anywhere........get the feeling I must have chucked them out or sent them to charity shop. Now the weathers changed I've not a clue what to wear for this christening on Sunday. Woolly hat, scarf, mittens, boots............?? No........need to blend into the background somehow so no-one notices and says ''what on earth is she wearing?''...........lol Need to send sos to Gok Wan or Trinnie and Susannah......or someone.........lol

Just recovering from weekend with son and family...............2 days feels like a fortnight............lol Lot of fun though and lovely to see them. Grandson is a delight and even more so when I got out an old box of bricks that were my dads (then me and brother had them, then our kids). He loved them and promptly downed his electronic push button thing he was playing with. The bricks have ended up going home with him and at least I know they'll be loved and played with. Out this morning to the shops and a late breakfast at local tea shop. I got him a sort of updated version of snakes and ladders which he also preferred to his electronic toy........then they left and I flopped in the chair. It was weird having the house so quiet. Lovely to see them though.
So, I'm all behind myself now. No cleaner this week as she's in hospital. I could have a replacement but said I'll leave it for this week. Place had such a going over last week so its not too bad. Still have christening card to make, can't seem to get a 'first tooth and first curl'' set of pots for a pressie but I've done a cross stitch with her name on and flowers so maybe that'll do for now and I'll get something later.

    Hope you're all ok:)

    Evening everyone

Mary, glad the weekend went well with your family xx

We have got some more of the garden done today as the weather was nice again. Think that will be it for a while as its supposed to rain tomorrow. I dont mind as it will give the plants a good water. We finished off the decking down the path, looks a lot better now out there.

I was thinking of getting some table cloths for the two tables we have out there. Looked online and they are about £20 each!! Thought I would look out for some fabric to make some instead. Went up town this morning and first charity shop we went in I spotted a pair of curtains which should be just about big enough to make them out of and only cost me £6. I know what I will be doing tomorrow, a day of sewing I think.

For once we have had a trouble free day, even managed lunch at Wetherspoons without complaining much to Miss Hoodies disappointment!!

She had her eyes tested and needs new glasses, its every 6 months a growth spurt, but she got a brilliant as shes under 16 she gets a NHS voucher, so shes choosen a pair of purple glasses, metallic purple frame at front, and the arms have a ripple effect, special offer free pair of prescription sunglasses. Got £170 worth of glasses for £0.00

My eye test went ok, - they hadn't got any contact lenses in my strength, - the opticain was really nice, he told me i'd got astigma on my eye, and if I was going to wear contact lenses all the time that I would need toric ones (dearer!! but they correct the stigma0, but as its once a week, blue moon job, then the normal lenses be suitable. Most opticians would have sold the dearer ones.

Dad said we'll can at McD's on way home - I piped we're not half way the list places needed to go, so he said we're near Wetherspoons go for dinner! You could have knocked me down with a feather. Dinner was lush and mse as he wouldn't let me pay anything towards it.

Did I classic (bit naughty!!), split the shops again, I said I want one of those percy pigs from m+s, he said i'll go there, you go to Body Shop, u know what you want!

    Bargain wasn't the word.
hemp hand butter, 3 x tea tress facials cleaners etc, banana shampoo (it is 10/10. my treat), deordant, - came to £30.00. - saved £5 as bday gift from body shop card, 3 4 2 skincare, half price hand butter - £13.50. my 1st trat since end of December.

He went to m+s. he was so pround he found the pig without asking for help!, then tells me he paid £6 for it. If I wan't sat down I'd have fainted, its easter prezzie off Bailey!. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
