    Hello all :j
Snow all gone and snowdrops out !! Just need the crocuses to burst out now to give a bit of colour.
Been stitching a bit more and managed to walk into town today and get some more thread and needed some nice card with Mothers Day looming. Got 3 picture frames from one charity shop but need some more.
OH still suffering......so much for the injections he had !:(
Still, he manages to get out every day (won't ket it beat him he says) and he was pottering in the garden this afternoon so least he's trying to get on top of it but it still needs sorting out.

New cleaner started this week from ageuk......very nice, chatty and does the job well. I do miss my young girl though.......she used to do an hours cleaning then we'd go shopping and have a laugh. Oh well, nothing stays the same does it and I'm not complaining. Grateful for what I've got.

Right..........off to wash up the dinner things once I've had a quick look round

    Hope you're all ok:)

Evening, I got some sewing done today too Mary. I made some cushions, one for YD's BF and two for the shop out of the left overs. Glad the weather is a bit warmer although supposed to get cold again by the weekend but not as cold as it was last week. Havent heard from the heater people yet about whether our part is in. Suppose its early days yet.

    ARGH it is cold!

Hasn't been above freezing in Bavaria for over a week. The snowdrifts are taller than the toddler, as is the snowman we made, and she's just started nursery so I am settling her in gradually. On the plus side, their settling-in policy requires me to be onsite but out of the room, so I have started a cross-stitch I originally acquired in October!

Blimey, Sugarspun, glad its not been like that over here, well not where I live in the South East. We had sunshine this morning so I went for a walk up the town as I needed to go to the library to get some parking permits. I had a look at the sewing books while I was up there to see if I could find anything exciting but was a rubbish selection really. Only choice was from embroidery/cross stitch or quilting. Only one other book and that was a Linda Barker book which looked like it had come out of the 80s.

    Hello all :j

sugarspun - don't envy you that weather !! Hate the cold at the best of times and they're forecasting yet another temperature drop:eek:

rufus - did some more 'stitching' today and actually got a little motto done and in a frame I found ready for my sons birthday. He loves it if I make something for him (unlike his brother who prefers it if I don't !)

Need to compose a letter to complaints dept at hospital in reply to the response/apologies I got. OH wants to see all 4 consultants face to face and speak to them about what was done, why and why he's still suffering. There's also some confusion about an 'incident' he thinks may have happened in Intensive Care that he keeps getting flashbacks about and he's not sure whether it actually happened or not and he's worrying himself daft over it.
Complaints chap was very nice and suggested it was a good idea but I need to put it in writing. Hate doing those sort of letters.........still, needs must and I'll do it over the weekend.

    Hope you're all ok:)

Some good news 2day, had a meeting at school, as there keeping an eye on Miss Hoodie, with all the sagas, shes getting back to normal with her school work as it has slipped b4 xmas.

Good news haven't got to go to the next hearing, as its another directions hearing, is a relief. Just waiting to see which way they go.

But head down for OU, got 4 assisgnments to do before mid April. Got half of one done, which is good going for me. xx

Mary the stitching sounds good. I know what you mean when you said one son prefers you not to make him things, my lot are a bit like that although they still get hand made anyway lol. Good luck with the letter writing. Can you do it on the computer in word or something similar and then print it out? Much easier than trying to write it all, then if you need to add something in you can go back and edit it.

Mum2one, good news about Miss Hoodie at school and the court. Hope you get on alright with the assignments. YD is half way through doing one for her college and its a struggle to get her to do any of it.

I am out today with ExMil to the Drs and then to lunch and then a bit of shopping after. I will be knackered by the time I get home this afternoon.

DS spotted marmite crisps (69p) in independent SM yesterday. Had a look round all shelves and found marmite cashews (£2.02). :j

Tesco has a special edition black OX jar with gold label marmite in at the moment.
