    Xmas Saver!
Dundeedoll - So sorry about father in-law. hope hubby ok.

Thiking about the x + o for the shot glasses, read in one of magazines tips page, they mixed some liquid glue with some paint, and apparently it stuck ok to the glasses and was water proof. Sounds a brilliant idea.

If she likes vodka, what about what flavoured vodka, - I use vadka shnapps (22% alcohol) from either Iceland or Home Bargains, + use it as the base for vodka. I either use miniture bottles or the small wine bottles. You can make any flavours you like.

Hi Mary and everyone else, we had quite a bit of snow but it has all gone by today, we managed a walk up the town earlier. I got some sewing done this afternoon, put extra woolies on and braved the cold. Made three cushions for my shop (pics on my blog). Weather men have been saying its going to get even colder in the week so hope everyone can stay warm.

was reading how miss hoodie got her name, it makes me laugh when people take being a jobsworth to such extremes as if a 4 year old could possibly pose a thread as a hooded hoodlum.

    Hello all :j

Still snow laying about but I'm hoping it'll thaw and disappear and not freeze over like a sheet of ice !
Panic this morning when I was in the shower and it stopped=red light came on, beep beep  Got out pretty quick, searched for instructions..........could I find them ? I could not  Can't remember where I put them but they're not with all the other ''instructions'' we've got. OH to the rescue..........he reset it and all was well, no more beep beep or red light ! Felt such a numpty..............lol

Gardener chappy has been up clearing out the back shed so now the gardens full of dead ivy off the shed roof, pots I may or may not want to keep and other ''stuff''. Friend of ours says he'll take it to the tip for us -hope he comes before the 28th.........road being closed and dug up, something to do with lining the sewer.
OH got appt with pain clinic on Thursday. He moaned it was short notice (always likes to get the shopping on Thursdays -creature of habit) but its taken them 2 weeks to return my call after the pills they gave him brought him out in hives.
Nothing else been done........well not by me (apart from wearing myself our panicking !)............lol

rufus - love your cushions :T

Hope everyone is well and warm :)

    Hello all :j
Snow still laying in parts but pavements are clearer than they were. Very very cold......and someone told OH we're due more snow tomorrow night:eek: I do hope not ! Fed up with it and being stuck indoors.
Ride out tomorrow to the pain clinic with OH........I want to go as he only gives me half a tale of who said what and it'll be a change to see some scenery that's not our back garden.

Made couple of birthday cards and realised my card making stuff is in total chaos. So much of it I'll never use so think I'll back some up and put it on freecycle.

Hope you're all ok and keeping warm:)

    Hi
Hope you don't mind me being cheeky, but sure seen the Michael Morpurgo books on the book people website, (can go through Quidco as well), sure there cheaper than £15.
I get the booklet monthly and theyve been advertised quite a lot, the new one The Warhouse, was sold seperate, but the others were under £10.

The gd thing is you don't need to order x amount in a yr, just if and when you want to.

    Morning all+

Still waiting for the heating bloke to come, apparently he couldn't find a place to park yesterday. Not getting anything done in doors as its too cold to go in the other rooms so I have been spending my time doing the challenges on the sister thread and earning some pennies. I have a lot to save up for as YD wants driving lessons and test money for her birthday. She wants to pass her test by her 18th birthday as she needs a full driving license to go on her paramedic course she wants to take. Also needs to pass C1 but we will cross that bridge if and when we come to it, cant do that till 18 anyway.

DS spotted marmite crisps (69p) in independent SM yesterday. Had a look round all shelves and found marmite cashews (£2.02). :j

Sadly my FIL died and we will be going down to the funeral next week (he had been very ill a long time) and hoping to stay at my sister's. Due to this thread I am organised to take pressies down and save on postage :T Working slowly and surely on Christmas boxes for her and dad. Tempted to share my ideas here but not sure if she looks at this site :rotfl:
