Hope the funeral goes off well Dundeedoll, its good you are organised with the presents. I know what you mean about not knowing who reads these threads lol.

Manturned up about the heater and we are going to get it fixed but not until one day next week as have to order a part. Will be a lot cheaper than buying a new heater though.
  • sorry to hear you have a funeral to attend dendeedoll, my condolences to you.

rufusdog i hope you manage to stay warm till its fixed

Just a flying post before I hit the sack.

Its a free listing on ebay Sat + sunday. I'm always in 2 mines about them, as I think as a buyer great - your going to have more choice, as so many people will be listing all their items, more choice, less chance of paying more, but as a seller, whereas you might normally be competing against 1 or 2 items, now it could be 10 or 20, and I find that stuff tends to go for the initial price.

    its swings and roundabouts.
    xx

    Hello all :j
Snow came with a vengeance Thursday night........and temps dropped to -15

Went to hospital for the pain clinic with OH. What a carry on, Transport arrived over 2 hours before appt so had to hang about and have cups of overpriced **** coffee. Dr eventually saw OH and gave him 2 injections. He told him he'd feel some bruising pain for a few days - and he is !! Having to resort to even stronger pain relief than usual ! Whether these injections will start to work once the bruising pain stops I've no idea and doctor was very vague about what to do if they dont.
Transport home was a mess up.........we were only in with doc for 15 mins.......then found no transport was booked so we waited.........fed up with the awful coffee so sat in the foyer/cafe area and froze ! Got home at 5pm in the end. Long day especially for OH. Just hope something does start to work soon.

Still very very cold.............so pleased I cut up my old fleece............it's so cozy to wear. Haven't done anything other than stitching little mottos for pressies. Still its something.
Trying to be optomistic and looking at plant catalogues.......................lol

rufus - hope your heater gets sorted out and you stay warm

Hope you're all ok.................stay warm and safe:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

We had a scattering of snow but not enough to stick, been to Wolverhampton 2day for tutorial, and the snow was quite heavy in places, thats about 30 miles up the road.

Felt sorry for the tutor, I was the only student that turned up for a 6 hr day school, I actually gatecrashed his course, as didn't want to go to Birmingham!

Cold again here. Miss Hoodie went to a rolle skating disco 2ngt, apparenlty when she wasn't holding on to the side she was on the floor, she had a great time. Off out to Sunday lunch, its my Uncles 80th bday, so be nice to get out. xx

    Hello all :j

At last.............slowly the snow is going and the weathermen have promised it'll warm up and not be minus something..........:T
Need to get out and get some more thread. I've stitched that much I'm running out.
Plus need to try and find some cheap picture frames for these stitched ''mottos'' I've done. That'll be christmas and birthday pressies sorted ........well a few anyway.

    Hope you're all keeping warm.:)

Just had to hunt for the thread, everyone's really quiet at the moment, hope you are all ok.

I ordered another bundle of books from WH Smith this afternoon for GD's birthday, not until August but was a good price, said normal retail price was between £20 to £30 and it was going for £4.99.
Yesterday I remembered its Son's Fiance's birthday next month and hadn't got her anything yet. I had a look on Ebay as she likes campervans (made me think of you Mum2one at Christmas) and found a lovely little cruet set so ordered that. Will probs do her a little pamper set to go with it. I will have to look out for a nice little basket. Actually I might have some in the loft so will get OH to have a look tomorrow.

I havent done any sewing for a while what with the cold weather, I have ordered some fabric to make a cushion for YD's BF's birthday also next month. I found some fabric with comic strip super heroes on it which he is into. I was hoping it would come today so I could do it this afternoon but it didn't arrive.

I have enough money now to get YD's driving license for her birthday and also some towards the first lot of lessons. I am hoping OH will put some towards them as well so I might have enough for my half.

I nearly have enough vouchers to pay for OH's birthday present too so that will be another one out of the way although I wont buy it until nearer the time in case it needs to be returned for some reason.

I still have a few things I need to look out for ....

ExMil's birthday in March -- not sure what to get her this year

Son's birthday in May -- usually get him some summer tshirts so will probs do the same. We are going on a tour of Arsenal stadium next month so might have a look in their shop and get him something from there.

Once those two presents are out of the way I am clear then until September.
