rufus - I'll do the letter on computer........did the complaint that way. Looks better, I printed a copy out to keep plus I've got it on comp. anyway. Must do that tomorrow.

Not done much but did do mothers day card yesterday plus birthday card for foster daughter .........cards with bit of embroidery on. Did another today while the cleaner was here.
Other than that been quite lazy. Must pull my socks up and get things done.

I had a good day out with ExMil. She bought me two pretty thin scarves for going out with her. Was only going to buy one for £5 but lady said they were two for £8 so she sent me to find another one lol.

I am going to have a day sewing tomorrow. I have made a list of things I want to make. Some are for presents. I want to make myself a business card holder as a couple of people have asked me while out about my shop and I don't have any with me. For presents I want to make a card wallet for YD's BF using up the scrap of comic book fabric I bought for his cushion. I also want to make up some small zipped change purses as I made one for ExMil the other day and thought she might be able to sell some at her old peoples home to her friends. I have two cushions to finish off that I started on before Christmas, they are for my sisters for next Christmas. I also need to make a bag for one of them as I already made one for the other. Then I have 4 nieces who I always make things for, I have made one a cross body bag already and have another one just about finished, it just needs the strap fixing on. Then I need to make two more for the other nieces. I have also found a pattern to make a pretty little storage basket for sewing things etc. I will make one for my SIL, and might do one each for the bigger great nieces as they both like sewing now.

Well that is a big list to get through, it will take me more than one day but I have been a bit lazy with the sewing lately, just not been in the mood but now I have a list I am hoping I will be able to get on with it all.

Sods law - got Miss Hoodie off school again, another sickness bug, she was in bed most of the day, wasn't right, rang the GP. sure the school think I keep her off for the fun of it, no appointments, ok, I'll ring 2mor and ask for a home visit, - can you come up in 45mins!!

Luckly we just made it, shes got a viral infection, but he's not very happy with everything, so shes got to to the hospital 2mor for blood tests + wee tested, bless he heart. I think shes anemic, but this should get to the bottom of whats going on.

he takes one long at me, tells me i've got swollen glands, and asthma playing up, I'm back on another wk of antibiotics and 5 days.

All fun + games, at least don't have to grace the court this time! x

rufus -sounds like you're going to be busy.
I've had no luck looking for a floral jacket - lost track now of where I've looked...............lol
Head ache due to oversleeping -and too much looking for floral coats:(

Well I got quite a bit of my sewing done, very pleased with myself. I made two business card holders, one for me, one for the shop. A card holder wallet for YD's BF. About 8 zipped purses for the old girls' bingo money and I finished off the bag for second niece for Christmas.

I will have another go tomorrow, I can't do the saddle bags yet as I have had to order some magnetic clasps but I could finish off the two cushion covers (will get the inserts nearer Christmas) and make a start on my sister's bag.

Nothing done today as I got a lift to see a friend who had a nasty car accident last year. Lovely to see her and nice to see someone elses four walls instead of mine...............lol
Must get something done tomorrow

Mary, its nice to get out and see somewhere else for a change. I dont get to see my friend much now. We used to meet up once a week for a natter when she was coming to my town to pick up her grandson from school as he went to the one just over the road where my grandchildren go but since Christmas the child's mother has had someone else picking him up so my friend goes straight home after work instead as she lives in the opposite direction to where I live and she works in the middle if you get me. I do miss her, I dont have any other friends around here at all except for ExMil so I am not going out hardly at all now unless OH is off and we go up the town.

He was out all day today so I did a bit more sewing. I have finished off the two cushion covers for my sister's for Christmas so another two gifts out of the way. When I had finished them I took the ladder in and had a sort out and put all the Christmas presents in one box at the back so I don't need to disturb them till later in the year. Then I had a look at what I have to give out this month. Wrapped up YD's BF's cushion and wallet and found a gift bag they would fit in. Wrapped up some perfume I had ordered for ExMil and found a pretty gift bag for that too (bags all recycled). Then I found a nice heart shaped basket I was using to keep cottons and threads in and emptied that out, got a bit of pretty white tissue paper in the bottom scrunched up (recycled) and added four small bottles of L'occitane toiletry bits that OH brought home from his trip, found a cream bath scrunchy and some bath petals also cream colour and covered it all with cello wrap. Tied a bit of pale gold ribbon around it and added a made up bow and thats an extra present for Son's fiance. I wrapped it up in birthday paper and also wrapped up the little cruet set I bought her that look like campervans and put both gifts in another recycled gift bag. Then I wrapped up middle GS's books that I already have. Really pleased I got all this out of the way.

GS came in after school yesterday saying they were selling some other books at the school and there was one he really wanted for his birthday plus another couple he would like. I looked on EB and found two of them on there for half what the school was selling them for so bought them for him. OH is supposed to be coming in before the school shuts so I can run over and see if I can buy the other one for him and that will be him sorted.

Next birthday to come up is Son's in May and I will get him some tshirts next time I go to Primark. Then there are no more that I need to buy presents for until YD's in July and she wants her driving which I am saving up for (hoping OH will go halves with me but I will save it all up just in case if I can), OH's is in August and I am saving Amazon vouchers to pay for that, so really the next ones to worry about are GD's also in August and my Dad's in September.

rufus - don't apologise. You have been busy........unlike me. Most I got done today was two birthday cards and one for a wedding we're going to in July.
Think I might go into town tomorrow if the weather is still ok and warm(ish). Could do with having a look round charity shops and market.
Was racking my brain about what to get for MIL for Mums day..............OH said what she'd appreciate as much as anything would be £5 of lottery tickets so thats what she's having. She's 90 plus and has everything she needs and does love the lottery.
