Plans for today include...Taking down xmas tree and all decorations......cleaning the fish tank....A good tidy of LR and find more homes for toys  and clearing the hotspot of doom in the kitchen...its OHs dumping ground and is driving me mad.

Didnt get to bed till 2am...stupid back and tummy pain caused by tablets for back pain:(..and DGD decided 7am was a good getting up time...yawn.

Took mince out of freezer for a shepherds pie...may also boil up the turkey carcass for soup.

All I really want to do is go back to bed :)

Happy 2012 to all my fellow flyers...health wealth and happiness to you all xx

DD1 had mate to sleep and they slept in the LR.... therefore by 10am hubby was pacing up and down - he usually has all the decs down before 10 on NYD.....

DS got in at 5 ( he is full of cold) DD2 got in from a sleepover at 10.30 - she is already back in bed....

I didn't buy a turkey this year - I spent my COOP vouchers on 2 turkey crowns. The first was lovely - we are having the second one today - hope it's as nice....

Am hoping that 2012 is a good one for all Flyladies - I am GOING to be more positive this year...

I'll join you in this as I'm determined not to allow BD to take up residence here! I'm no Polyanna, though, so it will be a challenge.

Good afternoon all, hope all are well and had a good New Years Eve xx
I have only skimmed the thread so hugs to all poorlies and welcome newbies xx

OH out today and DD and I are going to Mums for lunch.
Not a good start to my new years resolutions as I have done sweet fa today!!!
Think I'll go do a HHC and get the dailies done before we head out.

Catch you laters, have a good day xx
  • Happy New Year everyone!

I did stay up after all but only as I was catching up with 'Great Expectations' on i-player. I heard a few fireworks at 9ish but nothing at midnight, no shouts or cheers or anything which was a bit eerie really

Anyway I had a nice mustardy scrambled egg on HM toast then DS came back from his party. He finished the apple juice, heated & ate a whole pizza, had a bath and is now back in bed. Waiting for DD to call for me to collect her.

I've put a couple of loads in the TD and now need to unload the DW, make some bread and possibly some soup from a lonely looking swede I have. Also on today's list is a good tidy in my bedroom and sort out towels and bedding.

I've decided that every morning and every evening I will take a few minutes to think about the positives of the day and be thankful for the good.

I have no "cat and knickers" story to tell but enjoyed reading about jojo and maxonian's :rotfl: I'm allergic so no cat here, and nothing to jump into my knickers :o

I'm waffling so I'm off to do stuff.

    BBxx

off to get my shower in a sec and then whizz thru the house as i'm off on the extended family traditional pub crawl today - i save for this in a 50p pot from Sept as i could not afford it otherwise as i spend extra cash on girls! We play dominoes [with a double nine set] - old lady across the road actually checked with me that girls weren't lying as she was so surprised they knew what a double nine set were and other games e.g. keys of castle, blind. We play for pennies.
DD1 is busy looking at what pizza she'll have later .. LOL

    To all my flylady friends!!

Quiet morning here: one hungover teen in bed, one bouncing around full of energy. OH playing with his car, DD at BF's but back for lunch.

I have beef in the oven, and have made profiteroles, as well as knitting another row of DD's jumper (lacy yoke, demanding a lot of attention to get it right!).

Blessings: 1. Ended the year with the same number of relatives as started, and all in reasonably good health.
    2. Friends have forgiven me for total neglect when work took over. 3. Managed to lose half a stone.

    Wishes for 2012:
    1. Keep my relatives at the same number as we started the year. (Best of all would be a niece or nephew, but IVF not worked so far for B and SIL.)
    2. See more of my family and friends, and have a better work life balance.
    3. Lose a stone, and keep up the daily walk.
    4. Travel somewhere I haven't been before, and go on the London Eye.

Love and hugs, especially for toots, lady liberty, and lamewolf, and all who could make good use of a hug!

and nothing to jump into my knickers :o
I have the same problem, so to speak :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

been to a well-known computer chain. DD's (new) laptop bag broke (D ring snapped) was plastic - so I didn't want another one, I would prefer (I said) the one you have on line for the same price (because the sale's on;))..comes with a free optical mouse. No problemo. DD now knows that a faulty item can be changed for a different item at same price:D
DD likes this one better as it opens up so laptop can be used in it IYSWIM so a very happy DD:D

You can't get them round here! We had to import ours from Lancashire!

My knitting's coming on well - I have done the straight bits of the fronts so just shoulder shaping to do, then a shawl collar (for want of a better name) and buttons to find.

Boxes tidied in spare room and several relocated in there from bedroom. Bedroom lampshades dusted with a sticky clothes brush - they were shocking! I clearly need to do a deep clean, but I'm not sure there is much point until dust-making activities have ceased.

One suitcase identified for the charity shop, so filled with stuff and ready to go in the car. Debating whether to go into town (need to look for a lampshade for the study) but it has just started raining... I think I just need to get out of the house!
