Ok I am laying down a challenge - which one of us can be the first to invent tangle-free Xmas tree lights this year? Whoever does will earn themselves a fortune! :D

    Happy New Year

I have been here nearly a year. Thank you for all your support and encouragement.

    Welcome to new ones.

Popped to the Swedish store to look for storage boxes. Bought a couple of chairs to replace those in the boys' room. Have replaced their pyjama boxes. Had a nosey around some more shops and had a treat for lunch. Bought some lovely new pans in the sale so tomorrow I shall be sorting the dreaded pan cupboard. It is a corner unit with a door on the left hand side. Lots of things disappear over to the other side and I need some ideas of how to sort it as it really hurts my back.

Tree and decs are down and away. DS1 presents are away. House is looking ok.

deco - I agree with everyone else. Can't hurt to send a message to say happy new year and suggesting catching up when he's back. If he's a nice guy he'll understand that you're sometimes sad, and may have moments like that for some time. I'm sure you're OH would be ok with it, too. I had my DSs at 29 and 39, so there's time yet.

ETA Thanks, toots. Sending love and hugs right back to you. xxx
  • Happy New Year!

    Flying wise I have:

Folded up washing from yesterday and paired socks
Folded the stuff that needs ironing all tidy (not much but not getting out the iron for 6 items, and I hate my iron)
    Cleaned garden from poop
Decluttered 230 calories walking dogs for almost an hour

Lil-me – what is green laning?
Roundtuit – I like the whelming word!
Greenbee – you sound very organised!
Lamewolf – great big wolfie hugs back at ya babe!

Been thinking about new years resolutions...................I think we do it because it’s expected and traditional and then when we break them we beat ourselves up. So I will aim for:
Nice little wander round the weight loss journey – it’s not a race.
    Not take things to heart.
Keep my mouth shut if my opinion will hurt the other person.
Keep my job!!!!! (Very long tale but re-structuring/high managers/the economy has put several of us in a precarious position where I work)(same as the rest of the country really).
    Stop beating myself up!

    Enjoy your evening people!

1 step - I'm not organised, I'm procrastinating. My tax return hasn't been touched :o

... However, my work calendar has been updated with all this year's public holidays, the scales are working and I have weighed myself :( , my kitchen calendar has been filled in with known work commitments. I'm just debating whether to commit to inviting people over for Chinese NY... Pancake day is already a done deal (but I need to send out emails...)
