  • Goblin36 I really know how you feel, I will play the dutiful daughter, aunt and all round nice person tomorrow - but have to at somepoint mention to the family that i lost my job on wednesday due to redundancy, 3rd time in 3 years, but I want them to have a good christmas they have had a crap year and i dont want to add to it! yet tomorrow night I will be back in my house on my own (with the cat) and will probably have a cry - but at the end of the day its only 1 day ! xx take care xxx

    This Christmas eve i was working until 2100hours. I dont really do heavy commercialism. I just enjoy going to or watching midnight mass,Christmas day with family and friends..and then..ermm..back to work. But then working helps you appreciate the time off even more.

    I am hating every second of it. My darling much loved mum died 3 months ago to the day and my heart has been ripped out without her. Today is just my DH and I as we have no other family and we have a gaping hole that she left. Mum lived with us for the past 20 years and when she died part of me went with her.

    She would have been horrified to think of us spending it as we are but for us there was no celebration.

    I hope it passes for all those suffering today for whatever reason be in bereavement or loneliness or poverty

    Sat up in bed, in my pajamas, no presents to open, but i don't feel as miserable as i thought i would...

    It does, just feel like a normal day...

    it is just another day for alot of people ( myself included) ... i'm still in my pjs and relaxing before i go back out to work ... enjoy your day :)
