Anyone know what the Derby Westfield stocks are like - I can't get there until 1pm? Cheers:o
When i left at 9am half of the stock had gone. But there may have been more stock added as this is what happened last yr.
Sorry i can't be more helpful.

There's a little graphic on the packaging that indicates the life of most of these products - usually 12 or 24 months. It's a like a little round pot with a partly open lid & 24M (or 12M) next to it - indicating months life.

Most things seem to have 24 months, so would be fine for next Xmas. Some make-up, like lip gloss, has 12 months. Dry powder eyeshadow doesn't have a symbol at all, so presumably lasts for ever!

Just to add to that - If the graphic has an open lid it expires 6/12/24 months once it's been opened. A shut graphic means that its 6/12/24 months before opening. hth
  • 'Allo, Has anyone checked out any of the London Bigger stores like Picadilly or Oxford Street? Planning my lunchtime attack! Thanks for any pointers
  • I got to the Lyons Farm Boots straight from school run (just before 9am) and it all started off quite civilised (a few peeps with big bags to fill but nothing too major)
Managed to put DD in a trolley as couldn't carry her and the basket and didn't want to take pushchair in.

Anyway plenty of stock - got some S&G stuff, a Joules set and a few make-up items for DD - also some biscuits and chocs.

When I was paying it all went a bit wrong as they had run out of trolleys and a lady approached me who looked very manic and asked where I'd got my trolley from and if I still needed it - before I could answer she proceeded to try and wheel it off with DD still in it! (she's only 7 months perhaps she missed her, lol!)
Anyway needless to say I retrieved trolley and DD and gave my finished with trolley to the lady in the trolley queue :rotfl:- there was a queue for the trolleys by 9.15am.

Pleased with the bits I got and hope everyone managed to get what they were after and lived to tell the tale! ;)

Swindon Town Centre is emptying fast. 4 ladies in front of me at the till at 8.45am had....wait for it...... 8 or 9 bulging blue 'ikea' bags between them and had pretty much cleared the shelves of toys and gadgets and Hello Kitty Stuff. Other stuff was being picked up quickly, but still had some Sanctuary stuff and the Dannii Minogue kits left. The Greenbridge Store was pretty low on stock at 10am. Not much of anything left, as most stuff on shelves was damaged / had been opened. Some Lipsey and the Dannii Minogue stuff left. hth

It was pretty crazy in Dundee, just after 9. I doubt there's much left now except the Fairtrade sets and the big Sanctuary sets. Everything else was going fast and furious. I managed to get most of what I wanted but there wasn't much choice of men's stuff and I missed out on the thing I really wanted for myself (the mini straighteners in the bag).

Although it was CRAZY (one family had a LOT) it wasn't rude and people still said excuse me when passing in the cramped aisles. We did all get shouted at by an old lady who said we were all greedy and she comes into Boots every morning at that time (no idea what relevance that was).

Very civilised in Chelmsford. I am pleased with the mugs I got, and there were some toys which were great value. My best bargain was an unmarked no7 washbag rfrom the retail park. £4.50 with wipes andlots of protect and preserve inside. There was loads there- I'm sure everyone who went in got a bargain and I can't believe it;; all be gone yet.
  • Thanks for the heads up!! I was checking the forums on the coach on my way home from work and I was dying check out the sales!! Got to my local store for about 1100 and quite a few bits still left, got a few sanctuary and fairtrade sets and some GU bits (mmm...) Noticed that they were putting out kid's PJs as I was leaving. Staff in my store said they had no idea until 1700 last night and were waiting until their lunch break to grab a few bits! Wasn't as busy as I had imagined thankfully!
