Boots 1/2 Price Sale

Hi!
I went to Teesside retail park 20minutes past the opening time and, although many items were gone, there was still plenty to be had. And a lovely lady from boots was bringing things out as people were asking for them. Everything was calm but I saw so many people leaving with lots of bags when I arrived that it was possibly another story at opening time.
When I left, there was still a lot of stock left.
Thanks to msexperts for letting me know, once again, about the sale!Goal: Win a car (or cash to buy one)! -- Haha goal from when I was a student. Never actually won this but got a good job instead.
What I achieved:
Car paid in full straightaway.
Two properties fully paid. Wohhoooo!0 -

Hello, please could anyone in Bristol that's visited any of their stores today tell me what sort of availability there was? I was also after some Lindt Santa's!!'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0

Just a note for anyone who has picked up a S&G tin to give as a present. My tin has a voucher inside with an expiry date of 28th February 2012, which you may wish to remove!!
(Lancaster branch was very busy but civilised, shelves being cleared rapidly but quite a few Sanctuary large gift sets left).0 -

Loads left in Bon Accord branch in Aberdeen, as at 10am, both upstairs and downstairs (at the back of the shop and on some aisle ends). All very civilised, but busy.0

I did pick up some Doctor Who toys that had the green pressie stickers on them and was quite chuffed, until i got to the til and was told that they were still full price. Not all toys qualify apparently, even with the correct stickers.
Bit annoyed at that really. Probably wouldnt have bothered with the few bits i bought if i had known that at the start
I found some barbies and a fisher-price toy and asked a SA to check the price on a till at the make-up counters, the price wasn't coming up on some of the barbies but then eventually she got a price for one of them being £20 and the fisher-price toy £18 she then asked another SA if they should be reduced and the SA (who was a team leader) said toys are not included in the 75% sale, I argued that they were on the shelf with plenty of other toys and asked where was the manager, they told me to go over to the proper checkouts and get a member of staff to call over a manager.
At the checkout the lady just reduced the prices for me by 75% no hassle ...so the fisher-price toy was £3.25 and the barbies £5 each
also saw some no.7 sets that were £4.50 and £5.00 in the sale, unfortunately couldn't use my no.7 vouchers as they state they can't be used on gift sets.0 -

Well despite deciding last night that I was definitely not going, I found myself outside Lakeside Boots ten minutes before opening with at least 50-100 other people (i'm not very good at numbers.) Loads of people with trolleys and a few prams. When the shutter when up there was some good humoured jostling for baskets (didn't see the blue bags, but they would have be the best option - better than trolleys I would say!)
Loads of stuff, plenty for everyone. One man was loading all the mini perfumes into a trolley and others were obviously targetting items such as mens toiletries but otherwise people just buying loads of everything.
Some trolleys did appear with new stock.
Lots left when I left about 10am but hurry cos it was going fast.
No Champneys, boo hoo. Nothng there I had bought had half price too which I was pleased about.Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Telford Centre was a nightmare. One ailse and loads of people in there so you couldn't get moved. No good toys this year but some Sanctuary sets which I bought to put by for teacher gifts. I only spent £25 - least ever. I should have gone to the retail park.0
