Just come back from the Taunton branch all very civilised. Got there at 8.30 and already people coming out with huge bags!! Anyway stocked up on Champneys, Sanctuary, Soap and Glory, FCUK, Ted Baker mens sets and lots of other bits and pieces. Also some bits my 16 year old DD wanted but I am going to tell her they didn't have some of them and put them back for Christmas. Everyone was very polite and the only incident i saw was when one lady left her shopping baskets at the end of the aisle to browse and someone else started taking bits out. She went loopy
Not sure how much I spent but I did hear people saying, " that will go well on ebay"
So pressie stash well stocked and happy its over for another year!!:T0 -
Just thought: I don't really know how toiletries can be kept till next year. It would go off, wouldn't it?Love saving, but not sure I'm doing it right!0

Well I think my local Boots (Chesterfield) has been reading the Ikea bag talk, lol. They had a stand for baskets, and next to it was a pile of big blue (Boots branded) bags. I got there about 9.10am and there were three aisles reasonably full. Quite a good selection - smellies, foody gifts, and a row full of toys. No No 7 though
. It was pretty busy, but everyone was polite and orderly!
Only saw two people taking the $$$$, clearing the shelves of certain things!
I did get two of the cream Sanctuary sets (one of the things I wanted), and 1 of the red box sets though. A couple of FCUK sets, a Wallace and Gromit radio, and alarm clock (quite a few W&G bits left), a couple of pretty picture frames, some toys, and a few stocking fillers - Smirnoff sets and things. Spent just over £50 - all paid for in points
Quite a lot of of Project D, Bobbypin, Lipsy, Hello Kitty, and Strictly stuff still on the shelves when I left (around 9.45), although was still pretty busy so probably not too much there now. The staff were busy handing out the blue bags and taking bags of stuff away in crates (some staff were shopping before work) - No one refilling shelves or mentioning more stock so don't know if there is any, would probably start restocking later though - was too busy at the time to do it, I think.0 -
Anyone made it to Wheatley Hall Road in Doncaster anyone know what the stock level is like. I was going to go in my lunch hour but not even going to attempt it now been an incident in town all roads into town blocked and not looking likely to clear up any time soon. Hopefully be something left by the time I get there tonight when got kids into bed.0

Just got back from Hanley - reasonable amount of stock in, mostly the chunky box sets.
I did pick up some Doctor Who toys that had the green pressie stickers on them and was quite chuffed, until i got to the til and was told that they were still full price. Not all toys qualify apparently, even with the correct stickers.
Bit annoyed at that really. Probably wouldnt have bothered with the few bits i bought if i had known that at the start0 -
just tried my hand at my 1st ever boots sale - bargains! i went to market place @ Bolton, only 2 aisles of sale, but picked up over £100 of stuff for £30! :j
no perfume like gift sets, mostly just bath sets etc & LOADS of hello kitty for Liberty sets, so i'll definatley be looking around the big one in the retail park after work - i just hope theres still some bargains left...0 -

As long as the toiletries are sealed, they don't go off. Once opened they usually have a shelf life of 12 months. Having said that, I have a FCUK body butter in my drawer, had it for five years, and it's as fresh as the day I opened it... smells gorgeous !! HTH0 -
Anyone know what the Derby Westfield stocks are like - I can't get there until 1pm? Cheers:o0

There's a little graphic on the packaging that indicates the life of most of these products - usually 12 or 24 months. It's a like a little round pot with a partly open lid & 24M (or 12M) next to it - indicating months life.
Most things seem to have 24 months, so would be fine for next Xmas. Some make-up, like lip gloss, has 12 months. Dry powder eyeshadow doesn't have a symbol at all, so presumably lasts for ever!0 -
just went to local boots, couldn't find anything0
