All the jewellery marked at 1/2 price is going through at 75% off if anyone is interested. I got a chunky sweetie style charm bracelet for £2.50 (marked at a tenner) and a beautiful large turquoise costume ring for £4.50 (was marked at 18 quid). They had loads and loads of it, spread over 4 stands in the Glasgow St Enoch centre branch. Well worth a visit, some of the stuff was gorgeous.

Does anybody remember from previous years if the kids clothing goes 75% off seen a few items i would like at 50% off but not sure if I should hang out until Wed.

From what I can remember it's only the kids pj's in the xmas packaging that goes down to 75%, as these were part of the 3 4 2 on gifts before xmas.

Been for a quick recce of my local tiny Boots shop this afternoon... some FCUK pants and deo sets and loads of the mini perfume sets - these seem to get dearer every year - not sure I will bother with them even at 75% off!

For the last week I've been 'nipping' into my local boots (chesterfield) but today I managed to have a proper look round. As I was there an sa was clearing shelves to put out the sun cream, and it seems there was more stock left than she had space for. I found a small end shelf hidden downstairs (gifts & toys are upstairs) near the haircare products. It had duplo, elc toys, mega blocks etc on it. There was also a clearance section with some toys in (happyland etc) although these had manual reduction stickers, but they weren't that cheap.

Stock levels looked very similar to a week ago. In previous years there has always been additional stock brought out at this store during the 75%.

I did manage a free mascara from clinque and some very cheap vitamins with the vitamin shot glitch today though!

I bought one lone UG hair set I found hiding behind a Strictly box, half price but did it in the same transaction as my vitamin glitch, so ended up paying 80p more than I would have on 75% off (plus I saved the hassle and car parking fee of going on Wednesday).

Brilliant idea. If the vitamin glitch is still working on Monday and there are still some there I think I will do the same.

  • usually go to my local fort kinnaird but will be avoiding this year as last year people were horrendous behaving like wild animals pushing and shoving and using small children in buggies who were obviously frightened by all the hulaballoo to block the aisles for others
all manners and decency were out of the window
might look in later in the morning but not for me 1st thing this year

  • Just noticed tesco direct have a sale of selected toys ( about 15 toys ) some have 75% off. Might help the few that are looking for toys and might be disappointed by boots. Delivery to store is free.

well I've just visited the store near me that usually has the most varied stock of Christmas gifts for the 75% sale - and I won't be going this year. Half of what is usually there (in quantity) and very little in the way of variety. No hair sets (which I usually buy) no nice fragrance sets or toys, but loads of Liberty Hello Kitty, No7 hatboxes and big boxes, and Sanctuary big boxes too.

So thats me down to one store if it goes 75% off on Weds - won't manage to get to that one before Weds for a recce :rotfl:.

Wow! It's like a school reunion seeing these names from the old Boots Grabbit Thread! Hope you're all well.
