    Glad that you have managed to sort some things out emerald21. I'm going to bow out of the topic hurt now. The input isn't wanted and has even been thought harmful. I hope others will be able to advise on how to rectify any other troubles you have.

    emerald21 can you tell us what version of windows you are using? The opening screen when your computer starts shows what it is. System properties also shows it. Then only suitable software can be recommended.

    Producing a list of the programs you have installed would help. A suitable application is needed to do that because windows cannot do that itself. Then people can tell you what they are for and ask you whether you need them. Then you would know what can be uninstalled.

    Hi Im using windows 7. Ive got as far as getting a list of what starts up when i switch the pc on saved in my documents but i dont know how to post it on here short of typing it all out lol

    Double click on it and when it opens click anywhere inside the text, press and hold the Ctrl key and whilst doing so, press 'A', then let go. Now all the text should be covered in blue. Press and hold the Ctrl key again and this time press 'C'.

    Then open a post here, click anywhere inside the posting box, press and hold the Ctrl key again, but this time press 'V'.

    The text should appear.

    Have to pop out to M&S now. See you later.
