?? Sorry, but what has this to do with anything? Clearly the OP downloaded some scamware on the same page. One of the reasons why I always provide direct links.
Also, even when using 'Slim Cleaner' we will have no idea of what has been done.
Better for us to do it from here than to rely on this shareware, the chance of the OP installing the wrong program(which has obviously occurred here, the chance of her accidentally installing the AVG ToolBar and hoping that she selects the correct options.

chill kiddo, i mis read something so harm in that

It isn't unusual for programs to offer a toolbar during installation. Nor is it unusual to have to look out for such things during installation. Not a mark of poor software in my opinion. A mark of free software perhaps because nobody wants to pay for it. Also, I've always thought Softpedia a reputable download site that doesn't offer scamware.

So how did the OP get the program indicated on to her computer?

Either way, I'm not suggesting that Slim Cleaner itself is bad. Just that it's an added complication to this growing thread. :)

So perhaps you can delete your post and also lose the patronising 'kiddo' post.
I'd like to keep this as a guideline to others in the same situation, rather than someone having to slog through a multitude of 'conversation'.

Anyway, a Merry Christmas to you. :)

That's OK. I just wouldn't want to be thought of as recommending duff software here. I don't suggest any software that I haven't installed and used myself. The thread is open for all to offer suggestions in. SlimCleaner Review by PCWorld:

It's also an inaccurate review, as it suggests that CCleaner does not have the facility to disable StartUp items.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother to install it.

We have this forum because people make a lot of bad ones... and I and others like myself help to pick up the pieces.

I'm not sure why you have installed the program in the first place. Seems like something for a relative novice.

So yes, you are free to make your choice. But my advice to the OP is not to bother.

Just got back in and read all the posts lol. I know how to uninstall programmes just didn t know which to uninstall really. I would think 87 is rather excessive lol. I guess i need to uninstall sim cleaner now as it keeps scanning everytime i switch on and i already have cc cleaner. Is it worth paying these people to clean up the pc, is that what people do ? Most of my knowledge of pc s is what ive learned off people really. Im a late starter.:)

Oh dear. The OP has come across as perhaps not knowing too much, which is why I suggested the program. The fact that I have it installed is more because I like to test/try out software rather than actually needing it. I research programs pretty well before saying anything about them and this one seemed useful for those not familiar with using msconfig or services.msc.

This is a good forum without a doubt. Believe it or not, I've picked up a few pieces for people myself over the years.
