I think the OP wants to know WHICH programs to delete as much as how to do it.

One of the most useful things he/she could do is use the Start-up Folder option in CCleaner to find out which unnecessary programs are running in the background and wasting the resources of the computer.

Start CCleaner and click on the Tools icon on the left hand of the front page
Then click on the Startup box in the second column.
This will list all the programs in the start up folder.
Drag your mouse, with the left hand button depressed, over the list to highlight them and then right click on the blue area and select Save To Text File
The file will then be Saved to your Documents folder.
Post the contents of the file to this thread and someone will advise you which programs to disable or delete, which can all be done at the click of a button in CCleaner.

Edit : Just spotted there is a button bottom right in the Startup File page for Saving the file to a text file, so you don't need to do what I said in the line starting "Drag your mouse,"

By cleaning up this folder, it should make a big difference to your loading times when you start your computer and will probably markedly improve the speed that the computer processes programs when you run them.

Hi I ve run this and the results are

    System related errors 70 High
Com and active errors 227 High
    User related errors 5 Low
Start up and uninstall errors 378 High.

    SYSTEM HEALTH STATUS - POOR.

There was no mention of opting out of anything just do i want to pay to have it cleaned. Is that what i need to do ? Thanks

Unfortunately, it appears that you have installed the wrong program, not Slim Cleaner itself(about which I know nothing I might add).

So now you have even more carp on your system.

Best to follow my instructions so that we can get to uninstalling.

    Rule of thumb:
If you don't know what it does then don't uninstall it.

Google the programs one at a time to find out about it. There is no shortcut to this process.

Or you can post a list on here. From control panel> add or remove programs. You can't cut and paste so you'll have to do it manually.
If it's too much to type in one go then do a few at a time
First time through you can assume that you need all the Microsoft ones.

This was already covered in post #2 and a few posts subsequently.

I've highlighted a much simpler way to do this.

?? Sorry, but what has this to do with anything? Clearly the OP downloaded some scamware on the same page. One of the reasons why I always provide direct links.
Also, even when using 'Slim Cleaner' we will have no idea of what has been done.
Better for us to do it from here than to rely on this shareware, the chance of the OP installing the wrong program(which has obviously occurred here, the chance of her accidentally installing the AVG ToolBar and hoping that she selects the correct options.

The small amount of cleaning that the program found was needed on my system didn't cost any money. I think that part of the program is quite like CCleaner. I thought SlimCleaner more useful for looking at your programs and giving information about them, Then, from there, you can perhaps make a more informed choice about what is needed or not. Have a look at all of the screenshots for the program. They show a bit more of what to expect.

Other than that, you could perhaps say what programs are running at start-up (listed in CCleaner or msconfig) and get some opinions about what should or shouldn't be running.

Please forget about any other program for now and try to follow my instructions.

Trying to take short cuts is just getting you in deeper.

Definitely a case of ''too many cooks''..

It isn't unusual for programs to offer a toolbar during installation. Nor is it unusual to have to look out for such things during installation. Not a mark of poor software in my opinion. A mark of free software perhaps because nobody wants to pay for it. Also, I've always thought Softpedia a reputable download site that doesn't offer scamware.
