Well I've reached the money target! Weight loss going much much worse :(

Well done trixie4, I have slipped terribly in both areas. Well, I say slipped - I don't think I even started in the weight loss but have about £1100 in the money side of things and need to get on with generating some more.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Not got on the scales for a while, had a spa visit and dare not know the truth in case I fled in fright. Fairly positive not gained any judging from clothes, however, just made a pasty!!! Yum! Still not got round to ebay, I think this might not be the week with the kids off school. Someone told me about painting hard boiled eggs and rolling them down the hill til they crack and then eating. If weather picks up that's a cheap days entertainment. Although in this day and age they might look at me bonkers :)

  • Well done everyone. Just got weighed and rather surprised to see 13st 6lb which means I've lost half a stone! Probably due to a really stressful week at work but at least something good has come out of it! I also got paid this week so have transferred £500 into a savings account so am hoping for no unexpected expenses this month. Good luck to everyone saving and dieting this week.

    Weight lost: 7lb of 14lb
    Money saved: £500 of £1000

Not such good news this week :( Have put on four pounds so weight loss of three pounds overall and no more money saved. Am going to make a big effort to stop eating so much and do more exercise! Good luck everyone!

I lost 2lb at Slimming World ( I know it is an expense, but I see it as an investment as I can't seem to lose the weight on my own, and as a veggie I am able to create meals on the plan pretty cheaply) but I had put on some weight before going so it can't come off my total!

I was wondering what Mr Bloater and everyone else were going to do when the date for the challenge has passed... could we either extend it for those folks like me who didn't get there or for the brilliant folks that did, they could maybe set themselves a new challenge? (ie another stone lost and £5000 saved or something?)

    What does everyone think?

@Luckystepho: Just read your comments asking about what happens when the end date arrives - not that I'm in any position to speak on behalf of this thread cos I've been nothing but an absent father to it - but from a personal point of view my own particular end date (23rd April) is coincidentially the start of the rest of my life - the mother-in-law leaves for Canada the day before - so I will be restarting my efforts then with more modest targets - "A grand up and a stone down." Can start a new thread if you like or we can keep it on here - let the 'regulars' decide - commitment isn't my strong point.
