  • I have made a decision... I am struggling to lose weight on my own so I am going to join a couple of colleagues at Slimming World this week! I like the look of the SW diet- good for a veggie like me- and the accountability of being weighed each week should keep me on the straight and narrow!

On the plus side... I did managed a 26 mile cross country walk yesterday...

    Hello everyone.

So I'm up to £1700 and will transfer the last £300 to my ISA before 4th April.

Weight wise - went away with work and was having slap up meals every night so weight went up a bit. And add to that that I've started seeing somebody new which always means eating a bit more for me.

Did a 5 mile walk in the glorious sunshine yesterday to try and right my wrongs, and some serious exercise is going to have to go down in the very immediate future. Day off tomorrow so must start!

Weight down 1.5 lbs, which is a pleasant surprise as we've had weekend guests which means cake, meals out, 'treats'... I managed to say 'no' to most of the extras in the hope of staying the same weight.

Money: wages are due in tomorrow but I have my payslip and I can add £197.60 in extra work bringing me to £715.62. :)

Didn't get my bike back unfortunately. I'll get it on Friday though so I'll go out cycling this weekend, even if the weather's getting worse just in time for our days off!

So far the weight loss is still zero, but hopefully I can get that kickstarted when I get out on my bike.

The saving is going a bit better. Got £767 saved up so far. Still some distance to go before I can afford a new car though.
  • Just had my bike serviced as well - its been sitting in the garden for years. Hoping to take advantage of the good weather but rather nervous as I haven't ridden for so long! Its got lots of gears and I've forgotten how to use them! Hoping to find somewhere traffic free to practise.
    No weight loss again.

I've been avoiding this thread for a few weeks as I reckoned I'd ruined all the hard work I'd done on losing weight. Pleasantly surprised to see that although I've put on a couple of pounds, I've still managed to maintain a total loss of 11 lbs :)

I've been ultra MSE recently too (helped by not having to pay council tax for the last 2 months) and have managed to reach the £2k target. I can't believe it. I'm going to put most of it towards paying off one of my 2 remaining credit card debts but will keep a little bit back to spend on a treat.

Now - how to lose 1 stone 3 lbs in the next 3 weeks?!

Wow! Some seriously good stats on here and on the flipside it also makes me feel more human that I'm not the only one who has let this one slip. My revised target date was today, and I know - without even bothering to measure - that my weight is pretty much what it was, and aside from the initial flurry of ebay/kindle money - there has been zip all else in the Bloater pot. But with the mother-in-law arriving here in a few hours and staying for three long weeks, I will have good reason to get out of the house (for about 18 hours a day) and do some intensive weightloss/moneysaving stuff.

I have been quietly beavering away on the challenge although not posting - the weight side is disappointing the money side not too bad. Will update when the house is quiet again
