No changes here, other than paying the tax man some money. I have found all the paperwork to sort DHs refund claim, I just need to actually get on and write the letters.

Well done everyone. I have been offline for a couple of weeks as I was moving house. I have been living on junk food and haven't found the scales yet so no idea just how bad the damage is.

The silver lining is that despite the house move costing errmm cough £thousands I have managed to make some money from rebates on stuff. Around £150 from gas and elec, a £250 cashback on mortgage deal and am awaiting a cheque for nearly £300 council tax. woop woop, says Ali forgetting the £1000's it has actually cost to get moved ... (mr B, I will do an official count up once I have the figures sorted and cheques banked.)

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Hey all, been MIA for most of January - been away and not been on MSE much. More reading of books and going to bed really early :-)

Earnings wise - rubbish!! been spending loads and not even writing down in spending diary that i started as DH robbed it for himself!
    • Earned an extra £60 for taking part in a video for diabetes (need to send claim form off)
    • will cancel £5 a month life insurance with tesco for 3000 clubcard points
    • Have secured temp extra training work @ £50 a week for next few weeks, so hopefully will try to push this and make it a regular thing
    • Interview this week for part time contract based work (will be approx £20 per hour if I get it so pls send me good vibes:-) and potentially 10-12 hours a month
    • Need to do Self assessment TODAY!
weight wise - am down to 13.3lbs, so have lost a few pounds! Also got fitted for a new bra (which makes me look live ive lost a few pounds :-)) and am living in spandex type pants all the time.
Have had some really nice comments from people about how nice I look since i started making more effort with hair, make up and clothes ...
Looks like everyone has been doing a great job!

Another 2lb lose over the weekend so now have lost 4lbs in total :D
On the saving front paid off £50 to my credit card and in the process of changing my current account over to Santander, which will hopefully result in £100 cashback, £30 amazon voucher and a saving of £25 a month in overdraft interest for a year. Won't count this in until I have it though.
Free stuff is GOOD stuff :p

Scales have packed up, so no idea what the weight is doing.

Money ... I need to add it all up, but I have cancelled my quarterly wine delivery as I still have plenty in stock (£100 for this quarter... after that I may need to start buying again!), and have also suspended my gym membership until I am well enough to use it again (as they have also credited me for the last 8 months, that saves me 11 months in total if I'm working to the end of April, so £385 to add to the pot :)) Some Quidco payments are due, but of course it is always the small ones that come through quickly, not the big ones.

A ridiculous 8lb loss this week but only because I've had a horrible sickness bug since last week and hardly eaten anything so I'm not updating my signature as I'm expecting most of this to go back on next week.

Have saved a fortune though as been off work since last Tuesday so saved £30 in travel and another £30 saved as I missed a planned night out. Also made another £50 on ebay so another £110 to add to the pot.

Well done everyone for all the great losses and savings and even if you'd have a gain, just use it as incentive to aim for next week!

Another 1kilo for me and sold a filing cabinet for £25 and got £50 for a focus group
So Totals are 6 kilos and £247 plus OH sold 2 books for £36 so £283

I am still drinking MUCH less wine but little else by way of reducing intake. Just shows how many calories there are in wine I suppose.
