  • Been a couple of weeks since I visited last.

The weight has remained fairly static which is not good........

But this bug thing is still hanging around so I'm not as active as I want to be.

But been eating plenty of fresh grub, lots of salad and veg and cut back on the alcohol.

    I've saved another £800

So my running total is £2160. I've managed to do this part, but it's the !!!!!!! weight thats getting on my nerves!

Will keep going, and good luck to the rest of you trying to achieve our goals.
  • Well I lost that pound a put on :rotfl: I don't trust these gym machines, gonna do it weighing myself at home!

Also added £33.84 to total over weekend on student discounts, whoopsies, work meals, and b00ts points.

    Off to update sig...

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
  • Will be buying the Sun tomorrow to get the 6 quid off a 40 shop in Morri's...I would easily spend that on a weekly shop so I'm adding that onto the total as a saving.
Not got on the scales yet but I've really cut back on the food yesterday and today. I'm hoping I will have lost some weight by Sunday when i'll check back in. I really need to get into my mid life crisis leathers which I purchased for my fortieth last year but have yet to fit....rather fear the joke has passed and ended up on me after all :D

Just out of curiosity because I have a feeling I can't find a definitive answer for my own situation, but I wondered what other people record as a saving if due to price reductions they buy more than they would otherwise have bought?

I've just ordered some much-needed clothes at sale prices: I didn't really have a budget just a ball-park figure of around £50 which is roughly what I spent, but I gave myself that figure knowing I was looking in the sales. I so rarely buy at full price that's it's quite difficult to say what I would have spent at full price - maybe £25?

The same goes for a couple of (early!) Christmas presents I got at the same time - spent £10 because that was a fair-enough price but wouldn't buy at full price.

I know different people may look at this differently but what savings have I made?

  • I have also changed my phone from BT to the post office saving myself £5.50 a month (£66 over the year) and hopefully get £50 cashback as well.

Way back at the beginning of December I put in a complaint about PPI I was sold. I just got a letter today saying they have upheld my complaint and will pay me £1233.28!

I would never even have thought about claiming this back without the help and support of people on this site. This is such an amazing community, I really appreciate how willing people are to help others along :)

Keep up the good work everyone :T
