No money saving today, but I did spend an hour in 2m waves today, doing water safety at surf life saving! Of course I am the stumpy one compared to the men, so I was having to jump or duck dive through these waves, whilst also keeping an eye on the kids too! Great fun and I am knackered now, so hopefully it will build muscle tone if nothing else.

I'm with Oscar Wilde 'I can resist anything except temptation', and I think having left over Christmas stuff in the house is one of the hardest things to deal with if you're trying to instill new, healthier eating habits. I honestly don't know how people are doing it - I just don't have the willpower, and know that I don't. I realised this was a 'blocker' for me last Christmas, so this year I put everyone on strict orders to please, please not buy me chocolates for Christmas, and steadfastly ignored all the tempting offers in the shops in the run up, and only bought a tiny amount of additional goodies. Close family were fantastic, but we still ended up with two boxes of biscuits, a massive box of Thontons, a fabulous-looking Green & Black's Tasting selection and a tin of Celebrations. I also gave in and made mince pies (everyone really likes the ones I make so I caved in!) and a cake when the Delia Tesco deal dropped down to £2. I've given some of the mince pies to my son, we've eaten some and I've frozen the rest. The cake is lasting well, and a slab went across to the MIL, and was greatly appreciated. As for the rest, well, I'm afraid I've hidden them from myself, and hope that I can forget they're there! The Thorntons and Celebrations are in the sideboard, and hubby is quietly munching his way through them, the rest are in deep hiding and will only be released after lent. I think I can do this, as getting them out would be a fag, and it's nice to know they're there for Easter. However, I think if there was a lot more than this I'd have to take them into work and leave them in the staffroom. That way I'd know they'd disappear quick sharpish, and temptation would be well out of the way!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

Diet going a bit better this last week. Clothes now feel a bit looser which is good, and I fitted into a new pair of size 10 jeggings which is a GREAT result! Running is going well too which is also a good result as I registered for a half marathon in May and have to get up to 13miles distance. Over halfway there but it still seems a long way off
I'll get weighed this week and report in - maybe on Wed or tomorrow if I get impatient!

Well hopped on the scales this morning and I am now 12st 7lb. At least it was a loss and not a gain.
I have walked the dogs for an hour everyday which I will carry on doing but I am also rationing myself with the leftover Crimbo goodies, and I am eating my dinner off of smaller plate:D
The savings bit wont really come in until toward the end of the month, I will update this bit then:)
My finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0 -
