Just thought well my mortgage is a debt too, and out of the £250 I pay a month, £50 of that is now reducing my debt (the rest interest ). I pay my dad every month as he paid for all the renovation to the property, which is why my mortgage is so low.
I understand what you mean tho, when I can afford I will definitely overpay!
I think ccs and the like have priority over overpayments but I put the numbers into the calculator to see what would happen if we rounded our repayments up (I think it was an extra £1.38) and to my amazement it actually made an appreciable difference to the end result! Not a huge difference but enough for it to be worth considering provided we can afford it and at the moment we can.
The good news is I've now made the overpayment, though it doesn't show in the figures here as I'd already saved the money.
I also saved 82p.Miggy

I too almost forgot to weigh in this morning. Good news, almost lost all the weight I put on two weeks ago!
I am now 20st 7.5lb, 2.5 off this week :j
Still working out how much I have saved today. Though I did spend quite a bit, a fair bit was Sale stuff, lots of birthday presents for the coming months!
Will return with the savings details later...got to get tea sorted!
Hope everyone has had a good day x.

Parcel ready for Music Magpie so will count that in the total when I have a reply: along with the Quidco:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

I checked my gas and electric accounts. I have been paying large direct debits resulting from an old bill but I had large crediits built up. I have left a bit of credit there and had a total of £400 refunded - :j The next £400 wont be so easy but it's a great start!
Did on-line shop with Tesco and used a £15 on-line voucher and also got additional savings of £10.73 from promotions.
Quidco cashback of £30+ has tracked but probably wont pay for ages so wont count that yet.
So total for now is £425.73/£2000 :T

Unfortunately I had a 2lb gain this week, Christmas left overs caught up with me. Motivated me to attend my first fitness class in years, it went quite well even if I did resemble a blueberry
Stocked up on healthy options and hoping to do better next week.
Up to £70 on savings front, thanks to Christmas money. Am selling items on eBay and plan to weigh in my old and broken gold at the weekend.
Well done to all who are losing weight and keep up the good work.
Mr Bloater I now weigh 13st 12lb and £70 in the pot, thank you.0 -
