Count me in in the "January Blues" club....even with the sunshine we've been having lately and the slightly longer daylight hours....sigh...it's hard to leap out of my present mind-frame! My beauty routine has been long established, and I'm finally getting to grips and getting back on my very low/zero carb way of eating, but still feel very despondant, even in the curiosity stakes!! Roll on Spring/Summer...maybe it's just down to there's not enough strong sunshine yet to boost my seratonin levels!

Anyway...hugs to all who are in the same boat as me....and can anyone who isn't, throw us some of your personal sunshine pleaseeee?

Maman, could you please tell me how you post pictures/photos...I cannot see anything to click onto on the reply page to do so. Can you upload from your desktop, or do you need somethingg like a Flickr account?

    TIA

Skymist I use a Photobucket account to store the photos I want to show on MSE; I've had a couple of glasses of sherry with lunch, so not sure I can give proper instructions on how to do it, but doubtless someone else will come along who is[STRIKE] less sozzled[/STRIKE] more knowledgeable than I.:D
Wolfie hugs for you LW, I suppose I do take my mobility for granted and dont do enough to look after it :o
Can you do any arm movements from your wheelchair although I know over exerting yourself has repercussions doest it? sorry don't know much about lupus :o
OK, well, imagine a cross between Rheumatoid Arthritis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, add a smidgin of brainfog, with a little bit of mucking up of the internal organs thrown in for good measure, and you'll have the general gist.:o

Actually, I don't use a chair indoors (couldn't get one around in our bungalow;) I use two sticks; but then, I never ever wear anything on my feet indoors, the whole bungalow is carpeted, so less chance of damage if I take a fall, and there's lots of doors/bits of furniture to grab onto if needed.:o

I use the Wii Fit as much as possible, but use my sticks for balance while I'm on it.:o

Normally, I try to keep my arms strong (or as strong as I can) but for the last couple of months, I've not been able to, with this stupid problem I have with my left shoulder. Gonna mention it to the GP tomorrow (hoping I remember, as I go all to pieces once I get in the surgery).

I was feeling so positive at the start of the week and then I got on the scales and I’d put back even more weight. I have felt really down and rather stupidly have not been ‘fabbing’ at all.
(((HUGS))) If its any consonaltion, these latest meds they've put me on seem to be shovelling weight back onto me; I'm not eating any more than I was, but still it seems to be happening (another thing to mention to the GP tomorrow).

I don't not feel fab! Got a manky eye problem yesterday (gross :o) & today they are both swollen, I can hardly see out of one of them  It is proper gross & & I look like I 've done 10 rounds in the ring while suffering from conjunctivitis :rotfl:
 Don't let it go untreated! Sounds proper unpleasant! (((HUG)))

No proper fabbing today (bit difficult when Mr LW's around; I feel very self-conscious about using creams and wotnot when he can see me) but we have had HM Troll Soup for lunch. For any Terry Pratchett fans, it simply means that it was very thick!:rotfl:

We were supposed to go to the local Pagan moot tonight; but I'm chickening out I'm afraid. Don't think I can cope with being around people just at the moment.:(

LameWolf, you put me to shame with my moaning....(hangs head).....in comparison to you, I have absolutely NOTHING to complain about!!! I'm putting it down to hormones, or lack of them, as feeling like I am is not a conscious decision , and I know it's something that will change!!

    Thanks for the Photobucket advice.

Sorry but learning how to post proper photos (ones I've taken myself) is something I need to learn too. All the photos I post are from Google images or from the websites selling the clothes, make up etc I'm writing about.

Everything I know about IT, digital cameras, my phone etc is all self taught on a 'need-to-know' basis. I'd love to learn how to use them all properly. I don't even have an avatar as I don't know how.:o

Love the sound of the bargains ww, and your M&S things too sparkles. I'm doing my best to use colour as much as possible too. When I can decide which colour I fancy, I might buy some of those coloured chinos.

Feeling a bit under the weather today. Nothing serious just a bit queasy. I have had a lovely shower with all the lotions and potions and styled my hair but other than that I'm taking it easy. Very organised on the Healthy Food too. Today's food is all prepped, tomorrow's meat is marinating and I did a SC full of bolognese for the freezer.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend all.

Can I join January Blues too? Having a rotten day here and just feeling horrible. On the plus side, it's mine and OH's anniversary but we can't do anything because of my exams. We will finally get a nice couple of days together soon :)

skymist i just use https://www.tinypic.com for occasional photos. if you are taking the photos with your phone you might have a "send" option to "blogger" where your phone uploads photos to a blog that you can link to and edit.

Sorry to hear so many are feeling the January Blues :(

I spent a few hours outside in my garden today and it has really lifted my spirits. Clearing up the storm damage in the greenhouse and in general around the garden has given me a real sense of satisfaction and being able to dig in the dirt and rip out weeds has balanced my mind and given me a great sense of calm.

Working in the garden always makes me feel internally fabulous and I can highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from a low mood. Even if you do not have a garden some window herbs or a few pots are worth spending time on.

Anyway I am soon going to relax in a hot candle lit bath to ease my tired muscles and to help me look fabulous tomorrow :D

Went out and bought loads of new makeup on Wednesday thanks to the sales. A No.7 brush roll with a few makeup brushes in for £2.49 for British Heart Foundation. S & G Trick and Treatment Undereye Concealer for £9 then a No.7 gift set thingy with a shimmery purple nail varnish, lip gloss, mascara and 2 eyeshadows for £6 but I had a £10 gift card so I only spent £5! Then I got a No.7 voucher soooo I got another nail varnish for £2 with the £5 voucher. Then I mooched around PDSA to find a couple of women frantically rooting through all the unwanted makeup sets and stuff. When I finally got to the shelf I found a set of 25 eyeshadows for £2, I don't like all the colours but for that price I might as well experiment with it. Then I found a pretty tote/shopper bag which still had a New Look tag on and I got that for £2! Next was Superdrug coz I'd heard that there was some cheap stuff in the sales. I got a sheet of stickers which will come in handy for card making for 10p! There was also a giftset with eyelash curlers (I saw these for £4 alone!!!) 3 mascaras with different brushes and an eyebrow gel for...£1.99. I think I got a few bargains...:D
Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.

If you want to post pics they have to be stored on an internet site like a blog, or Flickr or Photobucket. It wont work from your desktop as you have to post the URL address in order to display it.

Those of you with the January blues, get all the weak sunshine you can and exercise. Had to drag your @ss if you're not feeling in the mood but exercise releases endorphins which make you feel good.

Fabbing today was cocoa sugar scrub in shower, shaved legs, moisturised all over, went for a walk with the kids. Just prepping veggies for tea :)

LW good for you for using the Wii and not letting the use of your sticks get in the way. And I don't mean that patronisingly :o

    Hello all

After another week of mindless eating I think I'm going to try SW. There is a week of menus on the website, that you don't have to sign up for, a try before you buy. I will print them off tomorrow and give it a go.
Fab wise, it's nails and checking clothes for the week ahead.
    take care all
