Good Morning
Not been up long
Still feeling the after effects of the stress attack - legs wobbly and feeling rather shaky. So..........just a nice quiet day.
Weather not that great. Dry but a cold wind again.
DS2 off today so will give him his Friday cooking lesson.;)
I always taught my boys that women love a man who can cook.:D DS1 is ace and DS2 is now trying to get to grips with how a kitchen works. He's getting there.
I've just done my on-line banking in readiness to spend some serious money later today - the gizmo for the wheelchair among other things.
Fab Friday so a bit of pampering.
Have a great day - best foot forward.0 -
Hiya PP....just ambled over to your website.......VERY NICE :T some lovely pics!

A few crossed threads. Hi guys.
pp - just had a quick look at your website - some stunning photos on there.
Just to let you know under "Portraits" there is a spelling mistake. Wok instead of work. I only had a quick look but nothing else jumped out at me.
The text is a little small perhaps - can this be made bigger - other than it looks great. Very professional.
Some fantastic photos on there. Will you be offering some of them for sale.
Perhaps "fans" might like to buy pictures of bands. The landscape, flowers and any wildlife pics would be good for both domestic and corporate art.
It might be worth you looking at seeing how much it would cost you to offer them as a "print to canvas" service. This is something the art websites offer. Our local Costco do this and it is very reasonably priced.
Anyway time to go ........Good luck with work - what a worry.0 -

Well, the sofas have gone next door and I'm sitting on the floor. I'm off to bed in an hour so its not too bad. I must say that I was shocked by the state of my neighbour's house - it was a real state, all grubby and shabby. Not just a bit tired but downright dirty!:eek:lessonlearned wrote: »
Had a massive stress attack earlier tonight - right out of the blue and for no apparent reason. It scared my poor DS2 half to death, he wanted to send for the medics.
I haven't had one for months - just goes to show doesn't it - how stress takes it's toll - often without our even knowing it.
I'm fine now - my chest wall and between my shoulder blades are a bit sore - like I've been kicked by a mule. :rotfl:
Going to make myself a herbal tea and read in bed for a while.
Bye for now.Morning all,
Have also added my website to my profile if anyone would like a nosey - comments welcome! Am still building it up but looks a bit better now I think
Website looks great PP. Lovely photographsWish I knew where to start on the business front. May have asked before but are you registered as SE? Have looked at business link a few times but could really do with a face to face tuition and there doesn't seem to be any of that sort of help out there.:o
Evilsquid- sorry about your job woes.
LW- How are you today hope you had a better night.:)
Started the 10 minutes a day routine LL posted earlier in thread, manged to keep to it. Went to hospital about my finger yesterday, unfortunately hasn't improved as much as expected so if it's the same in a couple of weeks may have to have another splint on it.
A bit excited though may have found a pony for my DD to ride occasionally in return for her looking after it as the owner's DD has lost interest. Nothing is sorted yet but hopefully even if only short term it will give her an idea of just what's involved looking after not just riding a horse.
Have been reading and listening to confidence cd - not sure it will do any good as when I'm listening and supposed to be relaxed I feel sort of relaxed in one way but in another my pulse is racing. Will try it for the 23 weeks it states and see what happens.
Have tidied/ decluttered a bit more of kitchen. Am off to walk dogs now and will get a bit more done later. xFrump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

How fab.Bet she is thrilled to bits.
Have you tried your local job centre re business advisory services in your area. Your library might be able to point you in the right direction.
There are some schemes out there for help when you have been unemployed for some time. Don't know how valuable they are - probably lots of red tape.;) However I understand that there can be help with grants, funding and tax breaks.
Sorry to hear about your finger.0 -
Aww thanks guys
LL - thanks for the spelling mistake, I keep going through it and then someone always spots another one :rotfl:
I was thinking about doing the landscape ones for sale, didn't think of the band ones for fans so that's a great idea, could speak to them about linking up if they have their own websites! Ideally I'm wanting to get an e-commerce site set up so people can just click on them and buy - not sure whether to try and incorporate that or just provide a link so the main site doesn't get too messy - but would up the monthly costs quite a bit so am putting off at the moment until I build up a bit of traffic and also can speak to some printers about what they can do for me both cost and turnaround-wise.
Lizzie - fab news on the pony, bet dd will be thrilled! I'm not actually registered as SE at the moment - bit naughty really but since have only had a few odd bits of paid work so far am putting off registering properly until it becomes a little more regular. I did used to be though, as well as previously running a limited company, so if you want any advice on anything feel free to ask and will help if I can0 -
I'm off for a short holiday tonight. Weather forecast doesn't look brilliant (Brittany so not much different to here) but it'll be good to get away.
I've looked at your website too pod and I think your photos are excellent.:T I was only thinking when LL posted the other day about artwork that I'd prefer to have photos of real places/people/events on display unless it was a print of a piece of art that I really loved (or an original:D). My DH collects antiquarian maps and prints so what to hang on our walls has ever been an issue! I do have a small group of things personal to me in the spare bedroom but other than that it's wall to wall maps!
I can't remember if I posted this before pod,
http://www.shootinghip.com/recent-weddings.php
it's the website for the guy who did my friends' wedding photos. I thought you might like to see the competition!!;) It'll be good when you get some wedding ones up on your site. I was wondering whether you knew anyone who's getting married (or even going to a wedding yourself) who might let you take some shots for free for promotional purposes. Good luck with your enteprises!
Have a good weekend/week everyone!:A0 -
Maman
Have a lovely holiday - hope the weather is kind. Re the art - I agree - unfortunately an original Van Gogh is a little out of my league too.:rotfl:
I can daub a bit but feel a bit self conscious about displaying my own work. I would really fancy doing some fabric/textile collages - very time consuming though. I have done some nice cross stitch samplers but they seem a bit too "Victorian" for my modern house, would be more at home in a cottage.
I gave a couple to my sister, the rest are languishing in a draw.
Perhaps I could do a shabby-chic style spare bedroom and display them there.
Lizzie - had a thought earlier. If you are over 50 (sorry if I'm way off the mark):rotfl: there is a scheme for new business start ups if you have been unemployed for over 6 months. I think it is linked to tax credits - I think there is some info on the govt website.
I also read yesterday that Prince Charles was doing something similar to the Prince's Trust for entrepeuners over 50. I think it was called something like "Prime Time".
Sorry that's a bit vague but it might help point you in the right direction.
I know I rabbit on a bit at times but I do hope I don't come over as a bit of a know it all, always spouting this, that or the other.
I may not know much of anything in real detail but I do know how to research and find out stuff. Having a bit of a "Magpie Brain" can be useful sometimes.
However, I do hope that I don't bore you all to death, and I would hate to be all preachy.:eek:0 -
LL - your revamp sounds lovely - clean and simple is my taste too.
Hope you're feeling better now?
Lizzie - exciting news about the horse:beer:
The sofas have arrived - hurrah! And after all of the palava getting the old ones out the delivery men took about 2 mins to get them in and put the feet on and they even cleared away all of the packaging and didn't make a mark on the walls. I'd recommend DFS - the sofas were ready before the expected date and they delivered exactly on time (after work for me) and were very friendly and efficient. Its so much easier when things are trouble free isn't it?
The room is now finished and looks nice if I say so myself. Maybe a mirror for the chimney breast if I see one I like but I can wait until I see one I love (and afford!).
Physics Friday went well too- kids were appreciative and told me I was "mint"! We did do some work as well as eat donuts!
My gay best friend wants me to go out tonight but I'm knackered and going out tomorrow night so I think I'm going to cry off, can't afford everything and tomorrow has been arranged for a while so he'll have to be spurned just this once - he won't mind, there's other people going.
Right I'm off to put the tea on and then have a nosey at Pod's website.......0
