Bitsy I only have a brother too so am happy to have virtual sisters :D
With the matched betting, it's takes a little bit to get your head round at the start but once it clicks it's fairly straightforward. Basically you are placing a bet with a bookie and also laying the same bet with a betting exchange - ie you're acting as the bookie so if you win there you get the bet amount, if you lose you have to pay out at the odds. Whatever the result you will win with one of them so it balances out and you break even. But you're looking for bookies offering free bets so you're not using your own money to place the bet and therefore make a profit.
It sounds more complicated then it is, you can find lots of sites with calculators to work out what you win on each side and even ones that look for good bets for you. Don't want to write an essay on here but if you're looking at getting into it just pm me and am happy to do a step-by-step process if it would help (or anyone else who wants it).

    Went to see OH.

I had set up a meeting with the guy from the company who make the Adult Support Chair together with the Occupational Therapist.

Occupational Therapist never turned up. I'm so damn fed up with the whole bl**dy lot of them. I've had six years of this and I've had enough. I know this makes me sound awful but I want my life back.

I'm afraid I took my frustrations out on my OH, ended up snapping at him and now I just feel so guilty.:o

LL - oh dear you sound like things are bad atm, virtual hug sent over to you x

WW - well done and stick at it girl!

As for me I am made up with a really heavy cold. 3rd week of this now and feeling very run down. Went to work and then came home after a couple of hours as could feel myself going downhill fast. Think I need to take some days off to recover and get back to normal again as I am really fedup of feeling like this. No exercise and no running either as a result which is also winding me up big style

Anyway, early tea tonight and then early night to see if I wake up feeling a bit better tomorrow. Hope so, but not holding out much hope currently!

LL I don't blame you for being p!ssed off, not only is it down right rude it's totally unprofessional  however totally not suprised......been promised a call from ASD team about some tips for dealing with DS and a few issues. Been waiting over a month and TBH I am not sure I can even be bothered to chase them up. Muddled along so far might as well carry on :o I know people are busy and stretched to the limit BUT don't make promises to people or make appointments that you can't bl00dy stick to :mad: Have a hug and don't beat yourself up too much.....sometimes things get ontop of us and we take it out on our nearest and dearest xxx

It's just not on is it? It is rude and unprofessional and absolutely what you don't need when you've already got a lot on your plate. We all take it out on those we shouldn't at times.I'm sure your OH understands. ((hugs))) x

When this happens to me I just click back a page or 2 and it usually reappears then I just copy it and paste it back in the reply box. Don't know if it works on everyone's computer but its worth a try :)

Well done on the fag front:T x

PP- sounds like your busy with the photography. Glad it's going well for you. I'm interested in the matched betting have read the sticky but ??????? don't really understand it. Might PM you in the near future for some tuition ;):) x

Have registered on the volunteer website, and with my local animal sanctuary, am going to go straight to RSPCA website too but I need 2 referees for that so need to find someone.
youngest DD has gone off on a residential trip with school so it's a bit quiet here atm. DS is delighted:rotfl::rotfl:

Managed to talk to OH on the phone and he was fine about me snapping at him.

It's water off a duck's back to him. He'll say"it's ok I deserved it". :rotfl: Just his sense of humour.

When the boot is on the other foot and he upsets me he'll say "I forgive you".

At least I don't feel guilty now. :o

Hello, can I join in? I'm afraid I've read the first few and last few pages, and some random ones in the middle, but not all of his rather long thread.

I've seen comments that definitely apply to me - someone said they were overweight, so don't want to treat themselves to new clothes that won't fit when they've lost weight, but means in the meantime they risk wearing old, ill-fitting clothes and so looking scruffy.

I've been doing this, put on about a stone since I moved in with my partner 2 and a half years ago. Feel bad about myself, want to lose 1 and a half stone, and basically mentally put my life on hold until I did - what's the point of trying to look nice while I'm fat? - however I keep eating junk food and stuff, it's almost like I'm punishing myself?
I've been a bit better recently, thrown out some of the ugliest clothes, but still need a big wardrobe sort out and throw out everything that's not flattering.

I've got more incentive to lose weight now - last month OH proposed! and I certainly want to look fabulous rather than frumpy next September when we're planning to get married!

I started on my fab mission on the weekend, when to do the gardening in the sun Sunday afternoon I wore a casual dress rather than ratty, paint-covered loggers and t-shirt. I felt great, and got my arms and legs some sun. It felt like I was being naughty though, lol, almost like I should be keeping it for 'best', and that my mother would be shocked. Still any grass stains are my problem now mum!

Well, fwiw, to my mind these are allegedly professional people, doing (or in these instances failing to do) the job they're paid for, and not fulfilling promises, or not turning up to scheduled meetings is most unprofessional, and totally unforgiveable. I'm :mad::mad: on both your behalfs! LL glad OH was so nice about it, and knew it was your perfectly understandable frustration surfacing. Bitsy it seems to me you get more help and support on MSE than you do from your local ASD team!!

Lizzie well done on registering on the local animal charity website.:T

Welcome aboard, Faithless, and congratulations on your engagement. I was a September bride, too - back in 2003. Um... re using a dress for gardening, imho, as long as you don't tear it doing really heavy stuff, just make sure it's something you can sling in the machine afterwards; mud washes out easily enough!:D Don't worry about reading all the thread - you'll be here til Yule if you try to do that!:D Just jump in with us and have fun.:o

ETA: Ooh, I said all that, and forgot to report back on yesterday!! I had some hands-on physio plus some ultra-sound, and the shoulder is a smidge easier today, though still extremely painful. The PT also found a weird lump, at the base of the left side of my neck, which she even got Mr LW to come over and feel! She didn't seem overly concerned about it though. I never thought to mention that I have a similar lump elsewhere:cool: (I didn't know about the one in my neck).

Next appointment is on June 9th - Mr LW's shifts don't allow me to go next week, but she does Saturdays, so we've booked one of those (don't have Mr LW's June rota yet.) We're away from 26th May to 2nd June, so that's the first Saturday we can go. Meantime, I'm to do some special exercises - ("isotonic" I think she called them) and avoid any tasks that involve stretching upwards for the time being, as this will aggravate the problem.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
