LL are you OK Hun? How's your H? Is he feeling any better? Xxxxx
[/QUOTE]
Oh dear is it so obvious. Thought I'd try and hide and then no one would notice.:o
OH doing OK (ish). His GP visited him yesterday, nothing nasty going on I think he's just dipping again as part of his overall decline. Nothing to be done I'm afraid. Just try to ensure that he is comfortable and (reasonably) happy.
Actually TBH I feel dreadful. Lots of pain and totally exhausted. Don't know why, sleeping well so no problems there. Have made an appt with my GP - 3rd May. The blood tests should be back by now. I'm assuming they were inconclusive for PMR otherwise I would have heard by now, unless of course there has been some admin slip up.
I just need some sun - please.
Anyway enough of that - am sitting here with a face mask on, multi-tasking;)
Going to have a quiet day, just pottering and tidying up and then off to see OH tonight. Take him a curry and watch a DVD with him.
Tru - glad your hip is ok after all - bet you panicked.
Sparkles - well done on the inch loss.
Bitsy - glad to hear that your little one is better today.
Dannie - just keep going, little and often. You will get there.
As my heading says - today the elephant is looking very big - but I will keep going. I'm suffering a few set backs at the moment but I won't be beaten.
Anyway ladies - going to love you and leave you all for now. I'm still in my dressing gown:o I really must get going.
Have a great day everyone. Apologies to all those I haven't mentioned personally today.
Keep posting, and of course keep fabbing.0 -
Have a good day LL and I hope you enjoy your curry and DVD. I completely understand your situation as it reminds me of a similar time in my life that took some years to get over.

Sorry LL wasn't forcing you to offload but I just got the "vibe" something was up from your last post
sorry you feel so dreadful sending you some sunny vibes and a very large hug. Enjoy your curry and DVD with H xxxx
My back is tetchy from sleeping in the same position all night. A lie down on the floor I think is in order to see if I can ease it a little.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

lessonlearned - (((hugs))) You need to allow yourself time, and lots of rest. You have spent a long time dealing with a challenging situation (and you still are) so your body will need a lot of gentle care to recover. Please don't feel you have to go quiet when the elephant is very big - we can all listen and poke it a bit to cut it down to size

Lamewolf - happy birthday for yesterday. Am so jealous of your trip to Bletchley Park. Did you see the news about Alan Turing's codebreaking papers being released?

Haven't had time to check out the details yet, but I'm sure it'll be fascinating.
On the fabbing front, I had my post-op review and the consultant is well pleased with progress. I can now do whatever exercise I want
..... So now need less talk and more action :rotfl:
And I've booked an appointment to get a haircut next week.
Just need to psyche myself up for some clothes shopping now.
Hugs to all in need, and have a great weekend.

Just a quick one as tons to do and still not feeling great.
LW - hope you had a great birthday
Callisto - Happy birthday, have a lovely day
LL - sorry you're struggling hun, hang in there, we have a bit of sun here today so hope you're getting some as well x
Will catch up with the rest of you later, have a good day x0 -
LL - you don't always have to be the life and soul....sometimes just have a good old moan to us and maybe that will help a little. Take it easy and give yourself time. xxxx
I am officially knackered - was up ironing curtains at 7am waiting for the rain to stop to take the dog out. I haven't stopped since but the living room is finished and put back to normal:j:j It looks lovely - all new and clean and shiny. The colours are very different to what they were and will take a bit of getting used to and the new TV stand and coffee table don't arrive until next week and the new sofas in a couple of weeks but the yukky bit of decorating, new carpet and the mega clean afterwards is done. I bought a few more bits today - ornaments, finishing touches etc and all I need now is a nice big mirror for above the fireplace but that will have to wait until the next payday.
I also sold my wedding ring today and got quite a good price for it - no point in sitting in a drawer when I could use the money for something constructive. I haven't sold my engagement ring yet as it was almost £2500 new and I'm not sure what the best thing to do with it sellingwise is yet. But it will go - new starts and all that.
I also have an "only worn once" wedding dress to get rid of - any one fancy it?:rotfl:
Now I am finally going to have a sit down and a bit of a rest - the whole house is clean, the bed has been changed and the food shopping is done so no stresses for the rest of the day!0 -
Well I didn't even get to see OH tonight, partly because of back pain but also because I ended up with a stomach upset and now a "frozen" shoulder. Lawd but I'm fed up.:o
I've had to spend most of the day and evening resting and I'm so frustrated - I just feel that everything is on hold. I just cant seem to get on with anything, either because of my aches and pains or because I just feel so wiped out.
I did at least manage to talk to OH on the phone for a few minutes. Thank goodness I had a phone line put in. Better than nothing.:(
Glad to hear that you are happy with your new sitting room WW - you sound like you are making some really good progress with your new life now.
PP - hope you feel better soon, Bitsy hope your back gets easier.
We're like the walking wounded at the moment. :rotfl:
Oh well onwards and upwards. Off to bed now. Sorry it's such a miserable whiney post - hopefully normal service will soon be resumed.0 -
Sorry to hear that you're all aches and ailments LL - things will look up soon. You're a bit like me , expecting yourself to be superhuman and indestructible. Unfortunately, we're not and need to slow down a bit every now and then. Be kind to yourself and if you can't do it for yourself do it for OH who needs you to be on form. Have a hug xxxx
Had a big sleep last night thankfully, I was exhausted so guess I really needed it. I have awoken to torrential rain and am waiting to take the dog out.
The London marathon is on the telly and I love watching it - every year I say next year I'm doing that and never do - maybe this year?:p My 43 year old female colleague has started running this year and is doing the Manchester marathon next weekend - I'm going to support her but who knows perhaps next year it will be me (who am I kidding!).
Loads of school work to do today - nothing really taxing but just lots of it. That will keep me occupied for most of the day. I also need to make a visit to the tip if it stops raining just to finally make sure that the house is now of show home standard!
The next little project is a new stair carpet - the coffers are now empty though so some saving for a few months is required. The hall and stairs were decorated last summer so the only thing needed is a carpet so not too much upheaval.
I need to get back to the healthy eating too - this week has been disappointing to say the least - I haven't weighed but food has been the convenience type due to the mess in the house, lack of planning and being really busy. No excuses this week though.;)
I think its stopped raining so better get the dog out and about before we have a little puddle. Hope everyone has a good day. xx0 -

xx
Weeeelll - if you really want to.... Go for it - I'm sure you will manage if you set your mind to it. I keep thinking I might try the couch to 5k thing - but I really need to sort my aches and pains out first. At the moment I will settle for being able to walk a bit more.
Not quite so bad to day - at least so far. Have done my stretches, had my bath etc.- will just have to take it steady.
How I hate that.
I just want to crack on - I feel that life is passing me by. I feel that I don't even want to go on holiday or even get out and about much and that is so not like me.
I'm not bothered about being the life and soul ...................I just don't want to be a hermit.
Did manage a bit of decluttering yesterday, so hopefully I will get to the tip this week. Also have a pile of stuff for the dealers, can't be bothered with Ebay and the like at the moment. I just want rid of it all. Also had a couple of CS bags pushed through the door so nice and easy there.
Am bathed and fragrant so off to have my breakfast, prep the dinner, and then off to see OH.
Have a good day. x0 -
Hey, I haven't been around for a while! Fabbing certainly seems to be going well, I have an obsession with makeup and painting my nails now and keep spending way too much money
I went to the doctors the other day about SW and I'll call someone about it tomorrow
