    Hello everyone
I am feeling very pleased with myself as I have been to the gym 4 times this week. I even had a shower there, which I don't do very often. I usually go home but as I swam today I showered there. I used my posh Ralph Lauren body lotion, a present given to me ages ago, but only used for best.(!)
Not weighed yet this week, there are too many biscuits about.

Hi all, thanks for the welcome and replies, not sure how to copy and paste at mo.

Heebie-jeebie (love your user name) Thanks I know what you mean about the confidence and rubbing off on the kids. They dont help much at mo, but think thats gonna have to change.

Adelight - I think I will always be a taxi til they learn to drive, we are in a rural area and my son (14) is footie mad and needs to be taken to training, matches and he helps coach as well, I do share lifts as much as possible. My daughter (11) is abit of an air head and not sure if I trust her yet to make it home in one piece, will see what happens in the light evenings.

evilsquid1603 - My son is so footie mad that nothing else interests him and our local cadets clashes with training.

Lamewolf - Gonna work on less guilt as it will benefit us all. My hubby is always telling me to take some time to myself, will start to listen to him.

Kinda forced time to myself today as I have sciatica, aggraveted by doing food shop, so gonna take time to read this thread properly and the couch to 5k and then will do my nails and maybe a face mask.

    Thanks

  • Hi all!

Had a good start to 'fabbing' myself last night, took my make up off and used a new serum for my face, no caffeine too close too bed time either, and hand cream on before bed!

Started today well too but I'm absolutely shattered, and when I finish work at 5 I start second job at 6! This is where my night time fabbing seems To go out the window!

    Evening :j

I have had a lovely day today, inspired by yourselves! I put on a hand and nail treatment this morning and I have just finished painting them a gorgeous sparkly red colour :D

Instead of putting on joggies to go to the hairdresser I wore something a bit smarter and felt better for it. My hair has been chopped off and I now have a sharp bob instead of hangy rats tails.

Also collected a copy of the Beauty Bible from the library and it looks great, so looking forward to going through it with a coffee in hand. Seems to be full of interesting hints and tips too. I can't believe I had never heard of it :o! Decided to use up all the skincare things I have in the house first before purchasing new ones and that means I can save up for any special ones. I do love Clarins Beauty Flash Balm and mine is finished so it will be going on the list

Over the last few months I have not been buying clothes I really like as I keep saying "When I lose weight I will buy......". I realised today however that moping about in clothes that do not warm my heart is not helping me to feel better so I ordered a couple of dresses in the sales that I have been admiring from afar. I may be plump but I don't need to be a frump :D

Well I visited the chemist today and bought a beautiful nail polish. It is such a deep purple it is almost black. I also bought a top coat! I have so much to learn but baby steps. My nails look lovely although I know they need shaping and the cuticles need sorting out. They are short and tidy and I am very happy with that. I also picked up some mascara so I will practice with that tomorrow. Mascaras have always gone lumpy on me in the past I guess this is because I only put it on a handful of times a year. I wore a skirt too. I think skirts and dresses suit me so much better than trousers/jeans. So I will try to build up that part of my wardrobe.

I need to have a hair cut. This could get expensive. I don't like spending money on myself. I will need to space myself out. Exercise is free though! I could put that on my list for tomorrow.:j I weighed myself today at home and the scales said 7st 8lbs! They clearly aren't working as I was expecting something in the region of 11st :rotfl:.

Thank you ladies for the inspiration and advice. :T

    Why can't my scales say 7st 8lbs!!:mad::mad::mad:

I have stuck to diet day 2 so far and am actually quite full - had a lovely juicy pomegranate and am now bursting with vitamins and antioxidants!

I did lurk a bit in the make up part of Boots but didn't see anyone I liked the look of so sloped off again. I think the ladies thought I was on day release!

BUT I did have a bit of unexpected fabbing - found a lovely pair of tan ankle boots in the sale reduced from £55 to £15:j I couldn't leave them there for that price so they are now living in my wardrobe waiting for an opportunity to dazzle! (which will probably be a trip round Aldi tomorrow:p).

A nice read of my new book in the bath with a face mask on is on the agenda after Eastenders - I will look like a swamp monster:eek:

For all those of you feeling far from fab at the moment...look around you!! Nature is not at her best at the moment either...very few flowers, bare limbed trees, dull gray skies......just biding her time before starting the renewal process...just like us!!!

So keep your eye on the ball of your goals, and indulge yourselves with a little patience, and like the tortoise, with fortitude, perseverance and persistence , we'll get to where we want to be in the end!!

That is lovely and so true. Nature is resting - getting reading for the Spring Equinnox - our half way mark!!!!

Ladies think of yourselves as a Chrysalis, just at the pupating stage!!

When the sun is warm enough you will emerge like gorgeous dazzling butterflies.

Just popping in to give my regards to lessonlearned. You are such a sweetie and such an inspiration to so many people. Once your lovely husband has got himself settled I hope you give yourself plenty of time and attention; I guess it you may even need a 'mini-grieving' process for a period. Please don't over-do things! We on this thread love you like a really good friend. Very best wishes to you and your husband xxx
