WW - The poor girl. At least she felt she could turn to you, she must have been so lonely and frightened. I hope her parents show her a little TLC once they are over the shock. How sad that she couldn't confide in her family and have them attend the clinic with her. Not the sort of thing to go through alone.

OH doing well, now DS2 lying on the sofa looking like death warmed over, running a temperature and dashing to the loo to throw up every so often. Poor (not so) little sausage. I've heard quite a few people locally suffering similar symptoms - must be a lurgy going round.

Another glorious day. Plumber replaced a double radiator that was too deep to allow easy wheelchair access with a nice slimline one so that when I get the car sorted OH can come home for visits. He also removed all the handrails too for the same reason.

OH says he wants to come for home visits - I'm just wondering whether he will be able to cope with the emotional fall out - I'm sure I'll find it hard. Oh well we can give it a try.

Looking a bit scruffy tonight after my gardening and cleaning - it's a good job you lot can't see me. My nails need some TLC - need to start with the cuticle cream again. Weeding and nice nails don't go together do they.

I really must practise what I preach. :rotfl::rotfl:

morning all - hope everyone is doing well!
I got a bit carried away with it being sunny and am bare legged today. In a bandeau top knee length polka dot dress and short sleeve cropped cardigan so the sun better appear!! It's to be 18 today so fingers crossed.

Dressed in jeans this morning but thats because I am off to Forest Schools later.
Despite being absolutely shattered courtesy of the dog I made myself get off the sofa and do 30 mins yoga this morning. I feel really tired but I have to say I felt great for doing it. Not mega bendy yet but can feel certain muscles not being as tight as they were.
Mindful eating still a work in progress but as I need to keep reminding myself Rome wasn't built in a day. I think my own self expectations are half the battle :o

Off to work out more by lugging a trolley round the supermarket :rotfl:

morocha - glad you got blood test. Please dont think me impertinent but if you're 3 days late is it worth doing a test??

WW - that poor child :( glad she had you to talk to and I hope she can find a way to tell her parents.

LL - Hope DS is better soon xx

Hugs and spoons all round xxx Enjoy the sunshine xx

    Have a hug xxx

And negative doesn't mean it can't necessarily happen. I had false negatives with my first. I had to wait a week past my period due date to get that magic result. Fingers crossed for you xxx

Morocha I'm bound to forget between now and Sunday, so I'll wish you and Mr M a very happy anniversary a few days early.;)

WW oh my, poor child; and well done you for being there for her.:A

I've been applying the Vaseline to my nails every night, as per LL's advice; and they're still flaking, but not quite as much. So hopefully, when the current nail area (iyswim) has grown out and been clipped off, the newer growth should be stronger.:o

I fear I over did it a bit yesterday; I was doing a lot of stretching up with my duster-onna-stick to get cobwebs out of the top corners (new cobwebs, I hasten to add - the spiders are on a building spree just lately) and I've wrenched my shoulder again so back to multiple doses of Oramorph in order to stay functional. Grrr.... haven't spiders ever heard of planning permission??:rotfl:

Anyways, I must finish my email checking and get on with some work - Wednesday is bathroom-scrubbing day, so I have to deep-clean the loo.:D

    Hi all,

Not having the best day - why does it always seem that whenever things start to go ok then something has to come along to muck everything up? :(
OH was trying to get me a camera out from uni for this weekend but his account was blocked, he thought it might be cause he was a bit late with his levy fee so I called up today to get it sorted. Instead it's because of the fees due from the last few years - older members of the thread may remember our nightmare with Student Finance when they sent us all the letters saying they were paying his fees and then decided almost at the end of his second year that they had made a mistake and took it all back from the uni, leaving us owing over 3.5k and with no way of paying it back.
Anyway they have now decided that they are not happy with the payments made and want a new 'acceptable' payment plan in place before they will unblock him - and if not they may look at withdrawing him altogether! Apparently I'm best going through a Student Advisory place as they can help us negiotiate with the finance department what they will accept. So at the moment he has no access to his uni emails, library, equipment etc while he is supposed to be doing his final projects for the year

Sorry, bit of self-centred post, sending you hugs if needed and hope everyone has a good day x

Podperson don't apologise; it sounds like a total nightmare to me. I know nowt about the workings of uni (left school at 16, I did lol) but I do remember the fight I had to get my medical retirement (they wanted me to resign so they wouldn't have to pay me a pension) and getting the Union involved got me what I wanted, so on that basis, I concur with going through the Student Advisory people - they should know who to talk to and what buttons to press to get action. Good luck!:o

ETA: LL how did it go with the ESA bods? Did they get their finger out and get it all sorted?

    Hi all,
Haven't posted in a while, just felt like I was moaning all the time :o. Still no further with the ESA (hope you're having better luck LL), have filled another form in and sent it off, but that's as far as we've got. Its been one thing after another -I've injured my finger, just as my shoulder was improving :(, DD is ill again so the struggle goes on.
Am trying to keep up with as much fabbing as possible, but with a finger in plaster, it's not easy- did manage my nails though.

At least the sun's shining, :).

WW- my heart goes out to the young girl.

Morocha- just in case I don't de-lurk again in time -Happy anniversary:beer:
PP- sorry you're having trouble- seems everyone you deal with these days likes to make it difficult for us.

LL- hope DH and DS are feeling better.

Anyway must get on with RL - back soon
