    Evening ladies!
And a special hello to Callisto! Nice to see you back.

The last parents evening is thankfully over - this one wasn't too bad, managed to leave by 6.30ish. The dog has been walked briskly to try to counteract the small packet of crisps scoffed earlier:o and I'll be having a bath later to have a bit of a relax.

Last day at work tomorrow for 2 weeks :j
Some serious fabbing to be done over the holidays to me, the house and the garden. Time to get sorted in a few areas.

TV wise (following on from LL) - at the moment I like Alcatras, Criminal Minds, The Agency, Homeland and Scott and Bailey. A new series of Silent Witness starts on Sunday and that's usually worth a watch too. Oh and of course Emmerdale and Corrie:p

    Says it all.

So ladies dress nicely, and a big smile today.

Apparently the weather is going to get colder again soon - so I'm going to spend the day in the garden. The housework can wait until it's raining.;)

Lizzie - Sheffield to ..............London?? Museums, (better double check as some special exhibitions do charge) sightseeing etc are free. My boys used to think it was a huge adventure just riding on the tube :rotfl: Take your own food.

I've got some 2 for 1 vouchers for Merlin Attractions - i.e. Madam Tussauds, Legoland, London Dungeon. (WH Smith) If you want to PM me your address I'll happily send them to you.

Thought of a couple of "n's"

    Nagging

I hate being nagged and I hate having to nag. If my boys accused me of nagging I would tell them that it was them who made me nag. After all we were not born nags - it's other people who turn us into them.

    Natural

I always have to smile when I hear men say they prefer women to look natural rather than "made up". What the poor lambs don't realise is that it takes a lot of work and quite a few products to achieve that perfect "natural" look.

Unless you are young and glowing and blessed with perfect skin then if you want to look healthy, glowing and naturally gorgeous you are going to need a little help.

    My three positives for today

    1. All this sunshine means I have some natural colour in my face now. Bye bye Ghost.

    2. This lovely weather means I'm managing to dry my washing on the line.

    3. The sunshine seems to make my aches and pains a bit easier.:)

    Have a Fab Friday

I like the idea of the positives LL so here are mine :)

Puppy slept til 6am today :T (shame about DD that woke in the night though :rotfl:)
Enjoyed hearing and seeing a massive flock of small birds (no idea what they were) flying overhead this morning, there must have been 30 of them :)
Garden doesnt have much colour but what bit is has is springing to life.
Friend told me yesterday I am not as "big" as I think I am and although she is petite she showed me her bingo wings so we had a good giggle at comparing ours :rotfl: Shes also suggested she takes me shopping and is my personal shopper (not footing the bill sadly ;)) so looking forward to arranging that :)

Wearing jeans, printed t shirt, scarf, my best brown suede boots and a khaki jacket found lurking in wardrobe. Jacket not quite warm enough but am not really going anywhere so doesn't really matter.

Right Ive waffled enough, off to go drink some water :)

    Morning all,

Lizzie - sorry can't remember how old your LOs were - think they were quite small? Also not sure how far you were wanting to go but that I can think of around that area - I always loved York, and the castle and the Viking shows/museums are great for kids, could go along to the coast to somewhere like Scarborough or something quainter like Robin Hood Bay, then there's Blackpool on the other side - I spent a massive amount of my childhood Sundays there and while some things like the Tower can be expensive we were usually quite happy to mess around on the beach and go on the 2p arcades. The Film and Television Museum at Bradford is fantastic - and free! Also the Eureka museum at Halifax, I'm pretty sure that does have an entry fee but is amazing for kids. National Railway Museum if any of your kids are into stuff like that - lots of interactive things and think they have the Harry Potter train there at the moment :) Or more nature-wise things like Ingleton waterfalls, White Scar caves, Knaresborough. Sorry - can you tell I used to live nearish there? :o Anyway, if you have more of an idea of what kind of thing you fancy might be help more. Tbh though, kids normally just find a trip on a train and somewhere new a whole adventure in itself :)

LL - liking the positives coming back :)

Bitsy - realised I hadn't mentioned the new puppy :) Glad they seem to be settling in a bit - think we need piccies!

Anyway the piccies last night went ok, was rather strange as I met the lass who was organising it but we couldn't find the model, we kept ringing him, he couldn't find us, we were wandering round for ages etc. Then when we finally catch up with him it turned out to be someone I know! Someone who doesn't even model, had just signed up for this - it was a rather strange coincidence and I do seem to be having a lot of them lately, OH too. Anyway, it went ok, I would liked it slightly better but OH says I'm being picky and it's fine for what she wants :o Am meeting a band tonight to do some promo shots, we're going to like an underground tunnel to do some in there and then I'm tagging along to their practice. Am worrying a little as I don't think they have much idea of what they want so will need to think of everything and poke and prod them. Fingers crossed get something good coming out!

For once, I've actually remembered that it's Friday.... this may be something to do with Positive #1. :rotfl:

    Wolfie's Positives:
1 Derek & Clive the Llasa Apsos will be arriving within the hour.:T
2 This week's allocated housework is completed, ahead of time.:p
3 I've sorted the gremlins in my desktop PC and it will now run "Morrowind" (sword'n'sorcery role-playing game) properly.;)

As to what I have on today.... obviously, it had to be something the wooflets can climb on without wrecking it, (Derek in particular is a lap-sitter),so I've gone for a dress in t-shirt type fabric; it's purple (there's a surprise!:D) with a picture of a Native American girl and a pack of wolves, overseen by a mystical pair of wolf eyes printed on the front. I bought it several years ago in the gift shop at the Anglian Wolf Society.:D As it's a tad chilly today, I also have my black cardigan with multi colour flecks that I knitted donkeys' years ago, and a purple decorative scarf, in a sort of leopard print pattern. Oh, and my favourite Pentagram, with a purple stone in the centre and five white stones at the points. No footwear, of course (ouchy at the thought!) other than my five toe-rings - three on my left foot, two on the right, which I always wear, and my copper anklet.

ETA I've also put on a bit of make-up today (purple eye-shadow and black kohl - I'll apply lipstick shortly) because I'll be required to have a photo taken with the boys as their "holiday snapshot" for their humans.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Evening ladies!
Glad to see we are in fine fettle!

With regards to trips on the train from Sheffield, what about Manchester? Not too far away, plenty to do that's free (Science and Industry Museum is great for all kids, War Museum)and theatres, cinemas, etc.

LoneWolf - glad to hear that Derek and Clive are settling in again - the names still make me smile, could be misconstrued as your other men!

    My positives for the day....
    1. Finished work for 2 weeks
    2. Popped to pub with work friends and dogs for an hour or two and had a nice chat
    3. Stuck to diet so far today
I've been up since 4.30am, just couldn't sleep any more so gave in and got up. Am fading a bit now but there's nothing more planned than a flop in the bath and on the sofa with the telly.

Weigh in day tomorrow, fingers crossed for some movement on the scales. I need to write a shopping list later for SW friendly food - if I'm not organised I go off track very quickly.
Right, the dog needs walking again, nature calls!
