LL - good to hear that OH is on the road to recovery.

Not a bad day today - some year 11 girls said that they saw me shopping on Saturday and said I looked nice - one of them said I always look "fly"! I think that's a good thing:rotfl:
I hadn't made much of an effort either - just jeans, high heeled boots and a navy blazer type jacket.

Still sticking to the diet - had a mini slip up today (one digestive biccie in a meeting, forgot before I ate it:o) but its well within the syns for the day so not a big problem.

Lovely day here again - had a nice stroll around the park with the dog but not a very energetic session really - still I suppose its fresh air and some vitamin D!

Right, the tea is almost cooked so better get on - have a good evening.

I'm sure someone asked me how work was going...

Well, it's not too bad apart from managers treating everyone like s***! But that's another story... Three people have quit already, one of them pushed my friend and she nearly fell over. I'm guessing they quit before they could get sacked I suppose.

I've somehow managed to injure my ankle in my sleep last night so now it's really achey and I had to limp round work today. Hopefully it'll be fine after a quick massage and a rest tonight.

Hope everyone's alright, haven't got round to reading up on everyone yet but I will, honest!

    Morning all,

Bitsy - you're right unfortunately, OH had to work with them yesterday and said they were ok with him. Think he will probably just go back to normal with them, bless him, he's good at forgiving people whereas I'm probably a bad person for holding a grudge :o Not that I won't be civil but it's made me look at them in a different way.

adelight - sounds very stressful hun, all you can do though is try and be as organised as you can, good luck with them x

WW - go you, looking 'fly' :rotfl:if teenage girls think you look then must be on trend!

Well, was rather naughty last night and instead of being good and doing my fabbing ended up having a couple of drinks and playing some games with OH. Still, he'd had a stressful day and it was nice to spend a bit of time together. Have choir slightly later tonight so hopefully should have time to go home and have my tea first. Have had a few people get in touch for the photos, am doing a few studio shoots on Sunday, a few band gigs and some promo shoots - so quite exciting!

Sounds like you are starting to make excellent progress here - how's that first million going.:rotfl::rotfl:

Some good news here today - finally received the last of my money from Spain. Only took 18 months:D.

Also finally managed to speak to someone this morning about my ESA - they were most apologetic at the delays - apparently they will "do it today". It's not much but it's better than nothing.

Roll on November when my pension kicks in and I can then start putting some of my business ideas to work.

My plumber has looked at the house layout and he reckons my ideas for putting a small basin/vanity unit into one of the spare bedrooms so that I can turn it into a treatment room will be very easy and inexpensive.

So come November I will be able to start my little salon/spa business without infringing benefit rules etc. - all legal and above board.

In the meantime I will start kitting out the room, decorating etc. I'm thinking "Parisenne Chic" as my theme - copied from the wedding dress shop I visited in Devon:rotfl: Chandeliers, mirrors, a bit of luxury.

Better get cracking on myself- some serious fabbing so I look the part. First get that stone off - and get fit and healthy.

Beautiful day here - plumber here so will get out in the garden & top up the Vitamin D. But first breakfast....

Then visit OH this afternoon and get him out in the sun too.

    Have a great day everyone.

If I didn't, I certainly meant to; my head's a total shed at present. I read the thread mentally make a note to reply to someone, and by the time I've finished reading, the mental note's been erased!:D I ought to open a Word.doc and make my notes there, I suppose, but that's work!:rotfl:
Bit worrying about three people throwing in the towel already; but if it's not an ideal place to work, it'll keep food on the table for the time being, hey?

Doesn't make you a bad person; I'm the same - if someone does the dirty on me once, they'll probably do it again if I let 'em. Not so much a "grudge", as flag the person up to be treated with caution.;)

LL I hope the benefits bods are as good as their word, and "do it today";)

Dylan went home yesterday, so I have three days to thoroughly clean the bungalow without woofers underfoot, before Derek & Clive get here, midday on Friday.:o

LW - I think the quitters are all from the old store and obviously can't cope with the way the new store is run... ;)

LL - thanks hun, still a good way off the million but do feel I've had a bit of a change of mindset. Before I would have things float through my head and think, oh that might be good, and then would talk myself out of it by worrying about how to organise, whether I could manage it or not, whether it would turn out any good. Now I'm just trying to stop myself at that point and think, stuff it, just do it - if it doesn't work out then ah well. Definately feels forced at the moment but hopefully that will improve - just hope the first few go ok and then I might feel more confident about it :)

LW - thanks for that, nice to know I'm not totally awful! I agree that if someone has acted in a certain way once then you know they are capable of it - so I don't want to rely on them for anything important in the future now.

    Afternoon you lovely lot :)

Deciding to de-lurk, I need to keep posting to remind myself of how far I've come. Ok the whole getting slimmer is still eluding me but I need to accept myself as fabulous in other ways.

So I made the effort to be really summery today (in march :rotfl:) and put on a long swishy tunic with leggings and my ballet style pumps teamed with a long beaded necklace. Whilst I will always feel more comfortable in jeans there is no point wishing I could dress a little differently if don't ever do it :o so whilst I may not feel über fabulous (those old insecurities rearing their ugly heads) I have been pleased I made the effort.

So spurred on I am browsing eBay for some spring/summer tunics/tops to wear. Managed to snag a lovely wrap around top from Monsoon for less than a tenner including the postage so might as well make this birthday money s-t-r-e-t-c-h as far as it can :D

LL glad your plans are going well, hope they sort out the finance as promised xx

LW good luck with your cleaning :)

Willow glad it's going ok. Confess in every place I've worked there were at least 3-4 a**holes, par for the course in my experience

Hugs and fabulous vibes for everyone else I've missed. Hope you are enjoying the sunshine :D

Another OK day dietwise and at work.

Nothing much to report really apart from a 16 yr old student more or less told me that she'd had an abortion today - she got me a message via a friend asking me to call her (she wasn't in school) so, being worried, I did to find her floods of tears. She wouldn't actually come out and say the words but it was very obvious what had happened, poor little thing. She said I was the only one she could trust and that her parents would go berserk. There was nothing much I could do really apart from make sure she was physically ok and to convince her to go to see her aunt who she said would be ok and help tell her parents. I had to report it to the pupil welfare officer (who is a lovely lady) who will deal with any consequences. I'm just glad that she turned to someone (why me is anyone's guess) and will now at least get some help.
    I'm glad I'm not 16 anymore.

After that the rest of the day seemed to be a bit flat really.

Have taken the dog for a nice walk in the sun and had a healthy tea and will probably just have a mooch around tonight after a bath.

    Hope everyone else is ok?
