Sign me up to be a Summer Solstice Sizzler!
I wore a solstice outfit today - black short sleeved dress, with a long sleeved khaki top underneath (was meant to be a red top, but I forgot to wash it in time!) and black boots. Hadn't worn a dress for ages and my Mum commented that I looked nice. I don't really have any winter skirts or dresses, so will see if I can pick some up in the sales.
Tomorrow, I will wear perfume, earrings and at least one item of clothing I haven't worn for a while (there is plenty to choose from, as I have been stuck in the rut of wearing the same items for the last few weeks.) I will also do work out number two of the week, still enjoying the aerobics DVD, so I will stick with that for now.
My overall goal for the Summer Solstice is to lose a stone, maintain the loss and make regular exercise and healthy eating an integral part of my life again. I deserve to be healthy, fit and strong in 2012. I also want to experiment with wearing different styles and choose a new and fabulous perfume!0 -
 to virtual friends old and new!
I've just found the new thread and it's oozing positivity!!:T:T:T
This is a fabulous time of the year and although busy I always find that being out of routine at holiday time gives me time to reflect. It's as if between the festive cooking, visiting/visitors, outings etc there isn't the pressure to get on with routine domestic stuff. Ideal time for making resolutions. Love the idea of the notebook, I'm going to copy that.
I got myself dolled up today and received compliments from my friend and DH. I went for my pretty White Stuff skirt, dark green faux wrap jumper (it shows I now have a waist:j), tights, knee length boots. I wore my Trollbeads bracelet and did all my make up PLUS perfume (of course!).
One downside, dishwasher decided to pack up yesterday. I know it's not the end of the world (many people manage without:o) but I'm missing it already!!! Fortunately, we are promised that a new one (ordered yesterday) will be arriving tomorrow, we had a call this evening with a timeslot so I'm really hoping.
Great to hear everyone's news (what a lovely compliment you had LL from the welfare man:D ). I know it's early days but I feel really lifted at the thought of summer to come. Even if it is 6 months away! How's this for a summer solstice outfit:

Ooooh that bikini wax job must have been brutal:rotfl:.
Maman - one of my aims for 2012 is to get to grips with technology. I want to be able to add photos to my posts.
Welcome to all newbies - will post properly tomorrow (today).

Morning everyone! Ooh it's so exciting - a fab new thread! I only just found you all at the end of the last one - so can I confirm that I'm in for the Fab Challenge. I absolutely love this time of year - time to reflect and all the promise of a shiny new year ahead of us. Just starting to work on my goals for 2012 - looking forward to hearing all of yours too. Off to town this morning to enjoy the Christmassy atmosphere and do some last minute shopping. Have a good day everyone xxSober October = 0 alcohol free days

Good morning :santa2:
I've been thinking far too deeply - and weirdly - for the last hourA forty year old who drank a bottle of wine last night should really have a hangover this morning, yes? Well, no I don't - I feel great
Even though I went to bed with my make-up on again. So if my body thinks it's younger than it is and helps me out by recovering THAT quickly, I really should thank it by feeding it healthily. Pass the satsumas
I'm only going to do a few stretches today, I've been running around like a loon for two days so I want to put my feet up and relax. I will lounge on the sofa, smelling fabulous (OK, it's just a £4 bottle of spray from Lidl but it all counts!).

Hi everyone
Can I join in please?
Would like to get fit and lose some weight for the summer. Feeling very frump at the moment but would love to feel and look fab by the summer.
Did lurk for a while on the old thread and found it very inspiring.
Can't wait to get started.
