    Tomorrow is eyebrow day:eek:
I'll book an appointment and go and get them waxed/plucked - only costs a fiver or so but I hate having it done and its long overdue.

Have had a snooze on the settee this afternoon - not strictly fabbing but much needed after the past few days so I suppose R&R counts to make me look less haggered!

    Of course.

Of course you are willow :A

I had a lovely compliment today. Ended up visiting some of DH's family and SIL told me that I looked just like I used to:D I was so delighted. I gradually put on 3st+ over 10 years and thought nobody but me remembered how I used to look. I found it so depressing that the 'fat' me was everyone's lasting image. I'm so happy. It's taken 10 years off me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

For newbies, I lost the weight with Slimming World. I'm an absolute convert but basically it's about keeping bread, sugar, pastry, fat etc to a minimum and eating loads of healthy food especially fruit and veg. Hardly rocket science!! I have to admit I'm not eating too wisely at the moment due to too many Christmas goodies still in the house but when they're gone I'll be back on plan with a vengeance.

You're right LL, red is my team's colours so there was a theme in yesterday's outfit.

Adelight, I read some really interesting fashion advice from you on another thead. You sounded very knowledgeable. Is it your job? I'll be picking your brains very soon. I think dressing to suit your shape can help hugely.

That's a lovely compliment. I don't think anyone should bother worrying about xmas food for now, I told myself I would get back on the waggon today but those thorntons chocs aren't going to eat themselves :D

My job is more beauty orientated so I know more about that tbh. I have to read hundreds of womens mags, blogs, youtube etc so see the bad, good and crazy fashion advice. I hate all the whacky expensive clothes they say you must wear to look good and the rip off products they are paid to give good reviews, I just like to spread the word about products and styles that do work.

Care to share that advice on here adelight? I don't want to follow fashion but would be nice to occasionally look like I haven't been living in the dark ages ;)

So ladies here's a challenge. Have £50 from Christmas. I want to spend it on accessories but want to make that stretch for as many items as possible. What do suggest I get?

That's a lovely compliment from your SIL maman. It's nice to know that other people notice your efforts.

Adelight - am always looking for advice so sorry in advance if we start to take advantage!

I agree with dressing to suit your shape helps but my problem is that I don't know what shape I am!

Am at work again today and have worn a jumper I love but haven't worn for ages and my DH commented on how nice it looked this morning. I have make-up and perfume on too and I am impressed by how a little effort makes me feel so much better! And last night I moisturised for the first time in ages and applied body butter to my very dry elbows and they already feel better. I have two aims for this week now:
    1. Sort out nails
    2. Eyebrows...
  • Morning all!
Just about to brave the elements and walk the dog for about 30 mins nice and briskly. Brrrr!
I have kept up the taking make up off, night cream and hand cream regime so far.

    Todays efforts will be...
    1. taking a dress back to M&S that doesn't do anything for me
    2. doing toe nails
    3. wearing make up, perfume and doing hair
    4. getting eye brows done:eek:
Hope everyone has a fab day!
PS Well done Maman for being so noticeably fab!

Just did the corny "yoga booty goddess workout" :rotfl: Was quite good actually, I have lots of energy still so I'm going to do some bodyrock then have a smoothie and a bath.

I'll answer any Qs as best I can :D
