I don't know if it's just me that has this problem with McDonald's but...

Food poisoning doesn't act that quick so your diarhea would have had nothing to do with macdonalds. As it would take 24 hours to go through your system. Vommitting though could be due to an intolerance or an illness you already have.
Sorry if medical and biological facts destroy the point you were trying to make.
Agreed. Given the speed at which you appear to suffer from the reaction, my suggestion would be that this is either co-incidental or that it is a physical response triggered by a psychological aversion to the food.
Without wishing to go into too much detail on a public forum, the "consistency" should be able to provide further clues. My suggestion is that if you believe that you only experience these symptoms in McDonalds, you should avoid eating there or speak to your GP about possible causes and investigations that can be done to seek further clarification.0 -

I can't see it's food poisoning either.
Maybe it's just a nervous reaction to going in McDonalds?? I always seem to end up with a headache after a trip there - ours is massive and is absolute bedlam at the weekends.
I would eat before (or after) you go and just have a cup of tea while your kids are eatingIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I doubt that there's anything 'wrong' with the food TBH, it's never happened to me to anyone I know.
It's more likely to be an actual allergy to an ingredient or psychosomatic. If it were due to food being unfit to eat it would take longer to make you ill.
For future reference, there's nothing at all wrong with just getting a meal for your children, I often do this with my DD.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Could be the 10 pints before hand......:think:0

Depends which McDs. We have quite a few round here, the closest one to us makes me ill, so we don't use that one anymore, but hte next one is really nice and I'm fine with. Also used to go and visit family up in Cambridgeshire regularly. Dad always stopped at McDs, most of us needed to stop half hour later, so I found another services further down and was really nice, no dodgy bellies with that one. DH is exactly the same.Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0

You had half an hour with your kids at this time of year, and you took them
to Mcdonalds? seriously?
Its not food poisoning, and its not 'off' food, as that gives an immediate reaction
to purge the body of the offending things, diarrhea straight after eating? no chance.
im shocked that somebody of your age would think the food could be at fault to give
you this kind of reaction.
It sounds more likely you had an allergic reaction to something in the food, and
as it happens whenever you go this is more likely the case. or it could just be that
your body isn't used to the fat content, as you say you usually eat healthy..0 -

Im lost, thats not a very nice post. If you had read the OP's previous posts you might have been a bit more sympathetic. He doesn't need someone beating him up about where he takes his kids.
He said that he asked the children where they wanted to go, they decided they wanted to go the McD's. I think the illness was probably a stress reaction rather than anything else, it came on a bbit too quick to be a bug. Next time OP, just have a drink, the kids won't be bothered. Glad you got to see your kids before Xmas and i hope things improve for you in the New Year0 -
A big mac was the last time I ever ate red meat, I felt sick to my stomach, that was about 15 years ago, I have been totally veggie for 5 yearsBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0
