Do the inventory first & then plan from that might be best.

  • If you want to reduce your shopping bill, do an inventory first :)

That way you'll plan to use the stuff up you have first, keeping your stocks turned over

Thanks Beanie and Tilly that makes much more sense seeing as how we now have to have an out of date cupboard because of lack of organisation

she was only trying to help and encourage me, but i am very aware of my health issues and how i cant push myself as much as i would like to, it was the same with my personal trainer he just wouldnt listen to me, then when i nearly passed out and i had 3 staff members hovering over me for a hour whilst i recovered from nearly passing out ( passing out is something i have done for years and years, apparently it's normal ? ) i think now i am much more able to be firm and say no i am not doing this or that because i know how it will affect me... i will improve my goodness me i blew last weeks time out of the water so i have improved already and will continue to do so... i am not running to beat anyone or to be the best there is i am running for me for my enjoyment and pushing myself and the consequences isnt enjoyment for me...

so yes beanie when we try and say look i know what i can do etc, it would be nice if maybe people took note, even if they are well intentioned :)

right off to scour cupboards brb:)
  • Sorry for delay - just back from the flicks.

thanks catster, i am very proud of myself, i may still have ended last and this time an extra 3 mins slower than the person that was last before me, but i improved and i enjoyed myself so i am happy :)

what film did you go and see?

right, inventory done, i attempted to put things onto the spread sheet but i messed up so i think until i learn how to do spreadsheets ( thankfully its part of the ecdl course) i will just make a template and put it through the thing that protects it ... laminate it that thats it ... i will make a template and laminate it and write on it with a pen

once i have a clue about spreadsheets then i will tackle the spread sheet way ... i need to learn spread sheets anyway so that i can keep track of debts, money in /out etc and eventually savings as well :)

well skinty we have been very much into the out of date cupboard, we have used up some green lentils, yellow split peas, chick peas, tomatoes and ragu sauce, so the cupboard is slowly coming down

next week we will be using more of the tomatoes, peas, chick peas and green lentils ( no ragu sauce etc left )

we will also be using up the kid on mince that we have, you know that quorn stuff? that, also the kid on pieces of chicken that we have, we will use some of the milk from the freezer some of the rice and noodles and pasta sheets...

have suggested to mr el that we have a cookathon tomorrow ... he seemed quite keen

he actually wants to have a look at the spreadsheets, he uses data bases in work so thinks maybe he can try and work out the spread sheets, if he manages then fantastic i reckon as it would be so much easier, if not he will take the things into work and laminate them ( i was banging my head on the table trying to remember that word lol)

need to find recipes for Bulgar wheat and manuka honey... not together obviously :)
