All plans looking good El....
The mortgage is the reason poor hubby has to work so many hours so can understand Mr Els worries..once you own your house you can never be homeless which must be a fantastic feeling0 -
Yep taxi that's his thinking as well ... I think having that security will make life less stressful0

Well that's me nearly finished my last night shift for a week or so, I picked up a wee 10 hour day shift overtime last night do I think tht shoul be me with enough overtime for January, I will get paid for 38 hours overtime all of which will go into the debt paying pot
Didn't do much financial wise last night as I was very tired so couldn't concentrate.
It's pay day for hubby on Tuesday and I have kinda worked out exactly what to do with the money .. Will just re tweak it over the weekend to make sure
Hope you all have a good day0 -
Hi Elantan! I am considering Parkrun but can only run a very short distance before I need to walk. How are you finding it? I am hoping to start in the next few weeks but worried that I will be the last one back by miles and everyone will have to stand around waiting for me for ages which would be embarrassing to say the least!!0

Hi caster
I reckon you should go for it, your description of what you think would be embarrassing was basically my experience last week, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I managed to run all of 150 mtrs and walked the rest and was last:rotfl: by about 20 -25 mins later than everyone else, have to admit I wasn't embarrassed though ... They were a really good bunch of people that helped me manage it , going back for more this week0 -
Oh no - I am sorry didn't mean to offend. Perhaps I should come to your park and we can do the last bit together as I am sure I wouldn't be any quicker. I am rubbish at running but really want to crack it. I have a bit of an injury at the moment so need to try and let that heal before I start but definitely up for giving it a go. Are you going again this week to see if you can improve your time a little bit - that's the bit that I find appealing - seeing gradual improvements.0

Don't worry you didn't offend at all
I am ok about being last ... I'm just really glad I managed it, the park I went to seemed to be a fast park but honestly they were fine about waiting for me, they told me not to rush and when I said look maybe I shoul run at home for a wee bit then come back they said " no don't do that, come back next week and the week after, we're about inclusion here everyone is welcome"
Honestly great bunch0 -
I'm hoping to take 16 seconds off my time I was 59.15 last week0

Glad I didn't offend! Don't think I would be any quicker but its about taking part and they sound very friendly encouraging you to go back. Wish I could try this sat but think I need another week or so to shake off injury.
Will look forward to seeing how you get on this week, I bet you knock a minute off at least. Good luck and thanks for the info!0
