El - What about making some yummy snack bars with dried fruit and porridge oats (as well as sugar). At least then when the fix hits, you can get some slow release carbs to help you thro' the night. Rice flour is available if wheat flour is not good for you :)

That was last years figs I looked at - just for same time of year but hopefully showers now not baths might have brought it down a bit.

NL funny you should mention that, one of my very good friends works night shift the same pattern as me ( you may have spotted us on the book of faces... We have the same first name ;) ) she suggested this to me last night, when I explained that I didn't know how to make it she promptly offered to teach me how to make them, so fingers crossed if all goes to plan I will learn this weekend , after my second park run :)

Did I mention the interest bearing account I chose was the mortgage? Seeing as how it's a MFW challenge that seems to make sense to me :)

We only have baths in winter :) seeing as how we're heating the house and it costs the same to hear the water we take advantage of having a bath in winter to soak our bones :)

Summer it's showers all the way though :)

Is Portugal nice in winter ? I've never been

My posh new boiler now only heats water as required... DS shall get out of that shower earlier:D

I think it's much warmer than Scotland, mind you we've been lucky so far this winter. My snowdrops and crocuses are poking through now:D

i'm not too sure rising to be honest

    what i do is
    a) read the meter ( that gives me the units)
    b) multiply by 11.22 ( was given this number by my provider) this is the KWH
    c) multiply by the price i am the 7. something and the 3. something the 7, something is for the first 670 KWH then the 3. something is for everything after that

that gives me the price in pence
