Yes sorry Skinty I probably said that wrong ( I have a bad habit of that )
It's about changing our perceptions, what was maybe once important to ourselves and to others is seen as important no longer are, I have irregular choice shoes which I loved and paid a fortune for, I loved them, now I look at them and go meh, they are nice but the £100 odd I paid for them could've been wiser spent, I think I worked it out that they had so far cost me £25 a time to wear ... That's just silly that is
I also know what you mean about holidays etc, some of our best holidays have been free camping about half an hour from where we live, we have a camp fire and sit and watch the stars go by, we talk and walk and eat and spend time with each other, these are the things I remember, the things I love to do, the memories that will stay with me...
Would love to do Cornwall again, did Heligon gardens and loved it ... Wouldn't mind seeing some more ... It's a long drive down, but we found travel lodges a cheap way of breaking it all up0 -

I quite fancy that myself, when we were in Phuket we saw some of the damage left by the tsunami and upon return had watched some if the videos again ( I think it was a kind of rememberance programme that was on) we recognised some of the places but was also amazed at how much had changed as well
Thanks, I did do quite good ... Sadly won't be park running next week as I am nights0 -
well today i checked the bank accounts, we only have till tuesday to go till Mr El gets paid, i can hear the accounts squeak, i have £1, £2,£4 in them all so it's right up to the wire, i will not be using the over draft that i have and will just have to manage, we have food, we have diesel so we will manage, but it's scary to be flying so close to the wind, and i still have enough to do a sugar shuffle for today and tomorrow so that cant be too bad:)0

Done the Tilly tidy up and sugar shuffle for the day, sat down with the menu plan again and I think we have a two week menu plan tht will work well, we will get up to a month but I think between yesterday and today we have spent enough time in it for just now
Mr el is currently making lasagne and I will be freezing half the lasagne base so that I can just pull it out make the topping and add the pasta sheets and have a meal in about 45 mins in future ... That should make life a bit less hassled0 -
Now to re tweak Tuesday's wage as its gonna be tighter than first expected0
-
Could you not just freeze the whole lasagne? I do and tastes fine to me:oMortgage OP 2025 £6750/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
