you know i read your post a few hours ago and since then i have been thinking ok el what is the debt that i hate the most, it started an in head convo lol

well it is easy to say i hate the biggest debt because it is the biggest and is going to take the longest to get rid of so when i do then i will be debt free

but the biggest is my mortgage, and without having my mortgage i wouldnt be living where i am, and i love where i live, i dont love the mortgage debt but i had to get the mortgage debt so that i could buy the house, so no i dont hate that

the bext biggest is the student loan, now it is well documented that i hated uni, i was so disapointed with the education system, i think i was looking for a different experience from the one that i recieved, but the student loan allowed to me to experience university life which was something i had always wanted to do, and as it stands i aint ever going to earn enough to pay the thing off so it will die with me lol, so no i dont hate that either

next up is the visa debt, now we have used visa's for years, we have transferred from one to another for years taking 0% finance deals and using them for holidays etc, we are currently paying off a holiday to Florida, one to London and the rest of the visa debt was incurred whilst hubby was off work for 7.5 months last year, i cant hate that debt, we had two holidays and we didnt go under whilst hubby was off sick so ...

last debt really is the sofa's, we bought them 3 years ago and have given one couch to our son for his house the other a recliner chair which was bought for hubby's bad back, it will be paid off next January, that one, the smallest one i would say is the one i hate the most, my hubby rarely sits on it, son rarely uses the one we gave him, we couldve easily not have bought them and saved ourselves £30 a month

i'm really glad you asked the question thank you ...

well what an interesting conversation i have just had with a call centre operative

for the first time ever with my current credit card i was unable to pay the full amount off this month so i knew to expect interest charges :( however i was not expecting a letter through yesterday putting my credit limit up to £2,500 ... so i phoned and asked them what on earth they were thinking of and decreased my limit to £1500... so i asked what exactly responsible lending is ? is it the responsible lending for the bank or for the customer ... she explained that she has worked with the bank for years and has never known it to be so strict ... this should be true given today economic climate but i am not entirely sure .... she said it is because i have shown that i am not a financial risk ... eh i didnt clear it this month ... but she said yes that is correct but you have every other month ...cynical moi... never

whilst there i asked about the interest i was charged on the account as i didnt understand the way it was written, it turns out that if i had paid just another £9.20 i wouldnt've paid any interest but because i didnt i was charged £12.76:eek::eek:... well to say i was shocked was an understatement , so i got the woman to explain to me how the whole thing works and now that i understand the rules i will stick to them

the woman was very helpful and ... she dropped the interest charges for the month saying that she knows i pay it off ever month and could clearly see that i was not aware of the interest charging rules so didnt pay any interest this month:j:j so £12.76 saved and i have learned alot in the process :D

it was quite funny in a way ... she informed me that it can not be reviewed again for another 6 months ... "so Mrs El only take this decrease if you are sure you will be able to manage as we wont be able to raise it very easily" my reply " well to be honest i think it will maybe take me the 6 months to get back on my feet then i will be looking to maybe lower it to £500 or so " her " er well if you are sure " lol ...

i dont think she was expecting me to want to lower it again soonish lol

long day at work tomorrow ... i will get 4.5 hrs overtime for it and 10 hours toil which i need for a wedding in April ( which i dont really want to go to but needs must) atleast we have things planned so my shift should go in fast :)

pay day tomorrow but i wont be able to pay anything as i wont be in ... and i am itching to pay somethings off but will have to content myself lol

paid some pennies to the visa today so that's a start not getting caught out with the interest caper again

oh and in other non money related news ... i have got high blodd pressure so i need to loose weight ... i know i need to loose weight this is not anything new to me ... but for some reason i dont know why it seems so easy to say it but much harder to actually do it ... i need to now though as on saturday morning i lost my vision in my right eye ... i was totally blind for nearly 25/30 minutes ( in my right eye that is) so this needs to be dealt with ... the optician said that everything looked ok except that she could see i had high blood pressure ...

now i get it checked fairly often and it hasnt been high before .. but i came home and checked it today and it was 126/96 which is hight ( the 96 bit anyway) so i need to get it reduced ... no point in turning my money situation around and losing my health now is there

i really cant think where to turn now for help though ... but i know i need help :( ... oh well i will figure it out i am sure

Losing your sight for a bit is pretty terrifying.

Yes, you know what you need to do. You need a plan and you need hubby on board - he needs to be cooking good meals for you and not feeding you tablet! Are they going to give you a dietician?

Good luck. You know where I am if I can offer any relevent support.
