Could he not cook healthy stuff six days a week and have something less healthy on seventh? (not mega calorific but a wee bit more indulgent?)
You can do this, but you need to do it which sometimes makes it harder in a way - think how good you'll feel on top of a hill carrying less weight and feeling healthy. I can hear Tinto calling you...Mortgage OP 2025 £6750/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Hi El
I echo everyone else, please get to your GP or A+E asap. I have a lot of experience of eye related problems. The sooner you get it treated the better.
I unfortunately thought I had severe hay fever when I had an awful paid in my eye and could not open it, I left it a few days before seeking help and by then it was too late.
I had pseudomonas bacteria in my eye(caused by dirty water) which
created an ulcer on my eye and now I have very limited sight in my left eye (can't even see the top line of the opticians chart). My optician told me that if I had it treated earlier ie same day I would have kept my sight.
My DH also lost his sight more recently and when we went to A + E he was told he had an unusual type of keratitis which had to be treated. It took a while for his sight and peripheral vision to get back to normal. (Sight tests indicated no problems but he had cloudy vision)
Please, please get it looked at.0 -
I think you've got the point so I won't nag.
So what MFW things have you done today...?
Currently, I'm just about visible amongst piles of ebay items! And when this lot is listed, I'm going scavenging for more junk/treasure around the house!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Hi all,
thanks for the concern honest i do appreciate it, i went to work on saturday and when i got home my eye lid was swollen so i phoned nhs 24 i was told that i would be called back as they were very busy and that the call back would be in order of importance
well nearly 4 hours later i got a phone call, i spoke to the nurse and explained the situation, he advised that i go to hospital ( by this time it was 10.30pm) he also said that he would get me an appointment but that it wouldnt be for approx 2 more hours ( i was told i would be phoned back within 3 ... but it took nearly 4 hrs so goodness knows if it wouldve been 2 hours)
i told him as he didnt seem to think it was an emergency that i wasnt about to hang about in a hospital a&e dept with a lot if drunken bums and that i would deal with it
today i phoned the dr's surgery and now have an appointment for friday so i will be getting it seen to
things that i have done for my mfwness ...well i didnt buy the car i really wanted yesterday does that count:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:it is a stunning car and i think it would suit us ... but we dont have the money so ....
in all seriousness i am saving pennies and really trying to cut things back , i dont tend to do ebay as it is a long standing arguement with hubby, i did matched betting on the understanding he does ebay, he has so far sold one mug  and has no intention of selling anything else :eek:
i think the way we are going to get out of any debt ( including mortgage) it is going to have to be earning more ( through overtime) and spending less ( through wise purchasing)
well i am back to work tonight i have fairly done alot of overtime this month so hopefully i will manage to fully pay off the halifax visa by the end of next month, leaving me just the other two which i will be transferring one last time to a new 0% card shortly0 -
Hi all,
well i've been to the dr's he seems to think i have had a stroke, so has referred me to the stroke clinic, i am not too sure if i have , but if i have i reckon it's been a T.I.A ... either way this is obviously something i need to deal with ...
we have been given a quote for £2,300 for our holiday ( remember the free flights?) this would be 1 week in Antigua and ! week in St.Lucia .... not too sure if we will manage that now with this whole stroke thing hanging over us ... and anyway i dont have that kinda money ... but i will be honest i do need a break ... it has been a long hard haul for a while now and yes whilst we had a holiday to florida etc with mr El being unwell it wasnt really a break at all and i could really do with one ...0 -
So sorry to hear that.I hope it wasn't a stroke and that you can recover from it.Try and get some rest xxx Big Hugs xxx0
