so wages in and wages out and totals adjusted ... i am still a wee bit behind in the debt paying but i am getting there ... i think by the time i reach 25 months or 25% of the way there then i will hopefully be 25% less in debt

have spoken to mr el about the whole student loan issue ... i think we are both agreed that we will not be rushing to pay it off just yet .. we need to get the visa under control and the mortgage paid ... maybe when they are all sorted we may re-look at the student loan

the savings took a little beating with the whole car needing fixed again ... i think if we concentrate on dealing with the debt and getting that to where i want it to be first .... then when i am on top of that i will deal more strongly with the savings ... although i will be trying to save in the mean time as well ,,, no point in getting to 100 months to be debt free and yet have not a penny to our name ... i still want to turn our money situation around and whilst getting debt free is an important part of that .. so is having some money to stop us getting back into debt
  • Very sensible way to go about it El... hooray for payday!

well sadly i didnt make it to my friends birthday celebrations, i got stuck at work in an emergency capacity till 9.45pm by the time i got home i just wanted a shower and bed, my friend goes back to California today so we wont meet up at all, which is sad but it is what it is

spent a short while in the garden yesterday, going to spend some more time in it today, just the usual tidying up preparing the land etc

have looked at the credit card situation again ( i like to keep on top of it) i was thinking this month would be the ideal time to apply for a new card, but having given it more thought and with us going awat to Rome soonish and not having all the spending money we need i am going to transfer it at a later date, i think if we go to Rome and need to use the visa then when we come home we can transfer it all onto the 0% visa and then hopefully never have to do a transfer amount ever again... i never want to have to do this again as i want this debt gone for good

i am thinking though that once this is up and running for a few months ( we are still going to do the whole changing bank accounts for the £5 a month) that we should apply for a cash back visa card which will be cleared every month this may only give us £50 or so a year but it is £50 better in our pocket ... kinda like the wage rise i havnt had for years lol
