Ouch on the money, great that you can sub yourself from the holibob fund - and loving the rosemary thing, I have a beautiful rosemary right by my patio I could start to snip from, and it helps it grow, after all.
Totally agree with your life-is-what-you-make-it on previous page - took me a while to realise it sadly - I went the academic route, and there's so much *provided* for you - housing, societies, gigs, cheap alcohol, its hard to get to grips then.
Still, thats a long way off! Now, yes, I'm with you on checking the gym for hot men

2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I think the gym is a great place to meet men. When I used to go I was married, unfortunately, and my Ex used to be there too although we didnt work out together. I used to find that the free weights area was the place where the men were the most helpful (until my Ex turned up and hovered). So make sure that your personal trainer includes free weights in your routine and hey presto! Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Ooh no gym is for toning up and ogling ONLY. I would never be thinking of pulling when Im sweaty and wearing a sports bra :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Had a grand day in the end. No lunch with FF due to the gale force winds early on so i cleaned like a fiend. Once it died down I headed into town to get my white sheet, a new handbag and some klip lock boxes so I can take breakfast and lunch with me to gym/work in the morning. I always take lunch anyway but now I can take two boiled eggs in with me for breakfast and eat them at the shop before I start work. It's going to mean an early start for me as I start work at 8.30 so I'll need to be at the gym for 6.30 to give me a chance of getting a workout in and getting ready and walking to work . This will curtail my drinking red wine in the evenings for sure :rotfl:
My friend who i rent the flat from came over tonight as her bro has bought it from her. They removed a lot of [STRIKE]utter tat[/STRIKE] her stuff so i have lots more room and am planning a wee spend to make it more me in the next few months.
So its all about being organised and sorted here. Off to iron and pack a gym bag for tomorrow and then its bed by 10.45. it's got to be done!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
sounds great re the flat - glad you will have a bit more space and a bit less of other people's stuff/junk

my only thoughts at the gym are related to keeping myself going - although we did have a particularly buff spinning instructor that meant I suddenly enjoyed spinning a whole lot more! it's good doing gym stuff bright and early, but I found it used to make me MEGA hungry afterwards!
glad new year was fun but bahhhhh on the phone bill!

Ooh yes, agree on other people's stuff in a flat - great that you've got more space, that in itself makes me feel better.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Yep place is much better now.
Did the gym this morning and all worked fine timewise with getting to work. Good day at work then home in the WILD weather. Nothing wildly exciting or social happening, sat here in my pink dressing gown with an Earl Grey. Got plenty happening soon though including a trip to IKEA with FF (woo), a trip to London with work, a friend through for a wee night at the end of the month, a visit from the folks and of course the trip to Goa!
Personal trainer sesh booked for Monday and working through the weekend so just planning on a cider in the house on Saturday night. Time for beddy byes X
In money news got a £5 left in this weeks budget. I'll try not to spend it all at once :rotfl:'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Hi all, well thanks to getting my training a good bit cheaper than expected and also my gas DD not starting til next month I have an extra £60 to spend this month.
I'm getting a cheap haircut tomorrow, and also a £10 lash tint with some of the cash. I've been feeling a bit down, hormonal and overwhelmed so I need to sort myself out and get glam and active again. Had a training sesh tonight which I loved and planning on visiting a gallery or two tomorrow on day off. I also got a listings mag today and found some interesting classes that I need to look into soon.
I still have £10 of my Xmas money left so I may look for something exciting to spend this on tomorrow.
Bedtime again, Im getting old. :rotfl:'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Im glad that you have spent it on you
