    Hi
My local Aldi have reduced all fruit and veg to 1p! Have bough about 5 bag fulls, and spent less than 50p!
  • went to the co-op wasnt many reductions.... they did say they wernt doing any major reductions until the 26th so will take a gander then.

RELUCTANTLY I went to the new tesco that has opened locally ( did say i would never support it ) had some good reductions on meat... mince...chicken breasts ...beef joint from £9.14 down to £ 2.20.. loads of fruit etc..

Normal price it should have come to £53.88. I paid £12.97 so a huge saving of £40.91

Giving some of the reduced things to my m.i.l and the rest will be put into the freezer or scoffed tonight:p

so i am happy that i had loads of bargins, and i am also happy tesco lost loads of money with me only buying reduced items in their store

So I think monday might be another good day for reductions;):T

Just back from tesco's and spent £6.65 on 3 packs of crumpets, 4 packs of chicken, 1 pack of turkey casserole and a huge whole turkey. Very happy!

Oh yeah and a pack of peppers and some nappy sacks.
  • Unsuccessful trip to both Waitrose and M&S. Both closed at 5. At 4.40 Waitrose had less than 25% off turkeys. M&S had two aisles of turkeys left, a couple had been reduced to half price but the rest were full price and they said they weren't reducing them until after Xmas (the date on most was the 26th too!). They could have at least donated them to charity so someone got a nice Xmas from them.
  • I can see where the likes of m&s are coming from. If they reduced them to pittance then the same folk would show up every Xmas eve to buy at a stupid price. This way, they will be hoping people come in store and pay full price like the majority
  • Just came from M&S and they had loads of discounts. Got quite a few veg and other bits and bobs but the best was the turkey.

M&S lemon and clemintine turkey, was £40 down to £12.50! :T

They were reducing all their turkeys and anything that has the 26th on it.

Also got a duck with stuffing inside for £12.50

    Right bargain

Waitrose has a third off some of their meat and turkeys - for example, a £72 turkey reduced to £48.

Sainsburys had half price fresh turkeys. And at about ten minutes before closing all of the instore bakery stuff was free.

As I was approaching this section a heard a cry go up "Whooo!!" So I got a couple of packs each of cookies and turnovers.

Well done! Your M&S was much better than mine.
  • sainsburys was rubbish but got a £4 turkey, reduced beef, chicken and mince, and enough bread for the week in tesco.
