Well I went to tesco and asda yesterday, tesco at 6 and 8 pm and only a few things were reduced but I did manage to buy some chicken that is 4 for 12 reduced down to 2.45 each, at the till the offer kicked in. So another £4 off.
Then went to asda and got so many things much cheaper than tesco, 800g chicken breast 75p
  • I keep refreshing this board to see if anyone is getting any good reductions this morning, wish I knew the best time to head to Sainsburys. I have everything I need already, but a couple joints of meat for the freezer for January would be fantastic.
2011: £10 Sports Direct Voucher, Peppa Pig Wii Game, Trivial Pursuit Card Game, £100 Chat magazine win, Dance workout dvd, Grease wii game,
  • There won't be many reductions until a few hours before closure.
  • Have just come back from my local Scotmid. I went for a paper & came back laden. According to my receipt I saved £18.22 :j.
I only buy stuff that I can use so I was very happy.

Merry Christmas to one & all.:)

We are open till 10pm tonight and the reductions have started already because the last thing the boss wants is for us to be left with loads unsold by this afternoon when the shop dies down.

25% is been knocked off so far but I would expect it to go to 50% after lunch then 75% about 4pm. We have 5 people just doing the reductions.:j

Our Asda at Wigmore in Luton had all the fresh fish reduced by 8am when I was in. I managed to get 2 big fillets of salmon which are all now portioned up in the freezer.
So hard to know what time to go for the big reductions. Would love some fruit and veg, but last year, it was all gone by about 5pm. It shuts at 7pm. Waiting for dh to come home with the car so I can go for a nosy.

  • Just been to asda (well about 1.30pm) and George has a sale on, lots of kids clothes, bras, jewellery and pants etc at half price.

Also got a yellow stickered (but perfectly fine) Baylis and Harding set for £2 for a last minute pressie, and all Christmas cards are now at 10p per pack. Also got 'letter to santa' pack for 10p as it had some lovely thank you cards in it to send out after Christmas.

Lots of veg and bread reductions in store but not so much in the fresh food aisle but obviously this will vary a lot from store to store.

No wrapping paper left at all in the store I was in.

    Merry Christmas everyone.
