I cannot believe the absolute down right lack of customer care with this bunch! I've used them plenty of times before but NEVER again after spending £569 on a corner settee and 3 seater which still hasn't came. They won't reply to my emails, I've received 1 email and no information or even a call to tell me its on its way
In the fine print, it says the delivery will be with you within 7 days, I ordered it on 5th October, have sent 3 emails, 1 reply which was useless and I'm so aggravated.
Looking for advice and help!!
I have a phone number where they might be able to refund you but they were amazingly unhelpful just now with me. Rep called 'Allan' answered the phone, told me my sofa bed had been cancelled due to 'invalid address' and all he could do was a refund that I might get within the next ten days to two weeks. I can pay a bill instantly online but it will take two weeks to return money to me. He couldn't speak to the distribution centre to verify my address, nor could the distribution centre call me to check it. If I hadn't called, I would have never received a refund. Looking at the thread, I still may not!
But give it a go - if nothing else, knowing they will get another earful today will make me feel a bit better!

Just bought two tickets from Groupon as a present, went though all the things picking where we wanted to go (Manchester) etc paid and got tickets for Edinburgh???? Called Groupon right away but the small print says they can't refund or change the venue! I need to contact the people I bought the vouchers from? I asked who and they didn't know? It's says Groupon is where I book it through but they said no it's not them??? So who got my money and how can I sort this out? Customer service is the worst ever and not very helpful at all so now I'm £50 down, and very upset cause as I said it was a birthday gift and now I can't afford to get her anything!0

I have order afew things from groupon only 1 smooth transaction.... I then ordered some washing powder which did not arrive. I applied for a refund which I received and then ordered a pair of boots. I was sent the wrong ones and sent back and requested another refund to be told that they have already gave me the refund... which was of course the money back for the wash powder. .... I took my case through paypal which was also a waste of time as they just gave me the same info provided to them by groupon so YOU ARE NOT ALWAYS PROTECTED..... SO NO BOOTS ... WASH POWDER AND groupon are up on money..... I tried many times to get back... I HAD BEEN MUGGED ONLINE... I will NEVER give them a penny more. TOTAL RIP OFF COMPANY0

I discovered a few weeks ago that an unauthorised purchase was put through my Groupon account by someone entirely unknown to me - a rather expensive purchase at that! I informed Groupon immediately and was told it would be passed to their security department and would take a maximum of 10 working days to resolve!! That has long since passed. I have called and emailed both Customer Services and their security dept, but have not received any response!! Oh, except for one sent to my email address but was actually for another entirely different person!! Now there are 3 unrelated people involved. Fortunately, my credit card company have now taken it up and hopefully!! it will get sorted in a few weeks. I am still really worried about what personal data of mine might now be 'out there'!!0

I have purchased a deal on Groupon which has turned out to be clear misrepresentation, but they refuse to compensate me , even though all the customer agents admit that this was clear misrepresentation by Groupon.
I bought a deal which clearly states a trip of TWO people for £119.. This was for a two night stay in a Madrid hotel and Two match tickets for to see Read Madrid football team at their home stadium in Madrid..
It says in the smaller print.. For two people. I read it twice before booking the deal and then booking flights on a Ryanair flight from Dublin to Madrid at a further £106.
When I went to print the voucher it then says two vouchers must be purchased, which led me to believe that the deal was only for Four persons, they then mention single supplement charges for a single person going on this deal... Totally confusing !
When I contacted Groupon help on their chat service they all agreed that is was clear misrepresentation and that they would escalate my complaint.
I ask for either a refund for the £119 and refund for the separate flight tickets at £106, for which they asked me of proof of purchase , which I gave them.... They then said they would escalate my complaint to higher management to seek approval for full refund. Or I would accept the deal of them honoured the trip for two persons at the said price as purchased. I got back message that although it clearly states for two people, in the very small print it states two vouchers must be purchased to complete the deal... This is not clear, and is very misleading.
I have told them I do not have funds to by another voucher at £119... That I was already fully stretched buying the deal for me and my son.
The deal is.. Real Madrid v Deportivo Cat. 3 Ticket Plus 2 Nights at Hotel Weare Chamartin With Breakfast Valid 9,10/01/2016 - Mundotour... Security Code: 48BB10CBC8 Groupon code: 00101358CF..
Taken from small print on deal page ..
Quote ..... What You Get
Included in all options: Real Madrid home game tickets for two plus a 2 night stay in a standard double room with breakfast
Groupon chat assistants agree that it is misrepresentation , and seem to be willing to help, but when they escalate complaint to their management.. It always comes back like a pre scripted message... Sorry can't help.. Read the small print... Ridiculous and wrong.. It is verging on a scam... Can anyone advice or help please.0 -

Please look into my complaint and see if there is anything you can do for me.. It seems that Groupon give the impression that they are going to very understanding and helpful, but when they get back to you days later having exalted the complaint... they then seem to read of a script and do nothing. I am very angry, please Martin, can you help or highlight this deal so others are not fooled into parting with their money.. In my opinion it verges on a scam.

Firstly, Brian please delete your address it is a public forum.
Secondly, with Groupon I found ringing them and pestering them worked. Did you pay by CC? if you did then contact them for advice on how to get your money back. If all else fails, you could also contact Citizens Advice to get free legal advice. Good luck!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
I bought a set of three Cargo boxer pants as a Christmas present for my husband. When he triad a pair on it was (very) obvious they were not fit for purpose. They fit fine on the leg but can only otherwise be called extremely low hipsters, so low they are not much more than a pair of legs!
I've emailed Groupon but received a standard reply of instructions on returning items, and of course, underwear is non returnable. Total scam, sell underwear not fit for purpose with a nonreturnable/refund policy.0 -
My Credit card has been used fraudulently on groupon 11 times on the 6th & 7th april 2016, I was alerted by my bank, I started a live chat only to be told that I wasn't registered with them, the fraudster had changed my email address, when I mentioned the fraud the conversation was terminated. My husband then rung them & we were supposed to be getting a phone call about it all but we are still waiting for that call, they were not interested. Luckily the bank has been brilliant about it & will refund me.
I will never have anything to do with this company again. Be careful everybody check your bank statements.0 -
I bought the beloved a fancy spa day at the Athenaeum London for Christmas. Unfortunately they are fully booked for months, long after the voucher expires - fair enough, the spa is obviously doing good business.
Contacted Groupon to get a refund, since they can't provide me with the goods / services I paid for. Official company policy is NO! See the webchat below from Groupon customer services...
Karolina W: How may I help you today?
me: Hi, the spa has no availability until after the coupon expires. Could you refund it please?
Karolina W: Could you please give me a moment to look into it?
me: Sure
Karolina W: Thank you for waiting.
Karolina W: I will have to pass this matter on to the relevant department to look into it. They will contact you within 10 working days maximum.
me: The voucher expires in 7 days, so looking into this within 10 days is too long
Karolina W: They usually contact sooner than 10 working days. However I am unable to refund you due to the 14 days cooling off period because the time has elapsed.
me: Then perhaps you could refund on the basis of my problem, rather than on the basis of the cooling off period?
Karolina W: I am unable to refund you. My apologies for the situation. I have to pass your matter on.
me: Remarkable!
Karolina W: We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
me: May I suggest that your approach is a rather short sighted business model, as it seriously undermines your reputation and repeat business?
Karolina W: I am sorry but I have to stick to the company's policy.
me: Are you sure that your company policy is to NOT give a refund when the goods or services purchased are not available?
Karolina W: Yes, and such cases like this I have to pass the matter on so it can be looked deeper inside the issue.
me: OK. Thanks for clarifying your company policy on this. I'll pass the information on to appropriate sources. Just to help you to understand the full depth of the issue, the spa is fully booked - ie demand has exceeded supply.
Karolina W: Is there anything else I could help you with today?
me: No, thanks anyway.0
