no i've never worked in an office.
how do you explain the occasions when there has not been a need to show a ticket if it is as essential as you say? why do they always say things like you need proof, we need to see proof etc? they dont say we need a ticket for our records.
then the occasions that no ticket has been needed then they haven't been doing things in the normal way IMO.

As for the proof bit, it's just a word used as a cover all. People travel by car too and can be reimbursed petrol money, they would prob have to show their driving licence or something like that. It's just a word, as I said you are taking it too personally.

your journey must be the same distance every time you go there to be fair.
it is the same everytime i go there. that is part of why they shouldnt be asking for a ticket for every single visit. there could be training courses or interviews that are too far to walk.

jobcentre, dwp, same thing really. the point is regarding the courses that people get refered to through the jobcentre they are usually funded from the same place.

they have been following a process that is acceptable to the jobcentre. a form with the amount and a signature is all that they really require. there is really only ever justification for asking for proof when they have been given reason to be suspitious.

that must just be your JC then because every time I've got my bus fare back from them I've had to show my ticket, they check it and write the amount on a form, pass the money through the hatch with the form, which I then sign.

as far as claiming at the jobcentre itself that has often been the case here too. just not always.
