amazing....
I think it would be better if the UK just stopped all benefits... but if they did that ? i think crime will rise i don't know... UK needs to get tough
Take china as example no such thing as benefits if you don't work you die lol
This work program thing is an utter shambles i said it a while ago in this thread
THE WP won't make it to 2014
China has a welfare system.
With 85% of UK households in receipt of benefits then stopping them all would result in a revolution rather than a rise in crime.
Returning to China, Britain has more CCTV cameras than it has in spite of China's population being 21 times greater so the infrastructure is in situ to help contain serious social unrest.

Not at all,
you know as well as i do a lot of people are just 'dossing' the whole benefits thing was a mistake i think its not nice to say it, but be interesting to see what happens if the UK cut everything lolBurnleyBob wrote: »China has a welfare system.

its all about survival
We are fortunate enough to have a slightly better human rights record in the UK than China
no rich civilised country could justify or have any real reason to have it's people just surviving in the gutter to appease the prejudices of the right wing
Everyone agrees the welfare system needs reform but fortunately very few British people of any political viewpoint would contemplate abolishing an affordable amount of benefits for the citizens just because some people are lazy0 -

Indeed, then maybe an age limit?
Only 20/24 year olds can apply jsa? something needs to be done ... its a shame on our government ruining this fine country and you know what happens in 2014..... unless the government take action!

Personally i think the work program is a waste of time. Pointless hours spend applying for jobs doing 'job search' when it takes half an hour and the time could be spent on something more beneficial. The program didn't help me find employment or gain more confidence in interviews (which i stated was one of my weaknesses). As well as that being moved around every 16-20 weeks didn't help either. The twice I've found employment its been though jobs I've found myself and not receiving any help from the providers, apart from the annoying phone calls after i'd found employment (commission?).This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
