grai - why didn't or don't you even just call in sick? They then ask when you think you are going to be better and book you an apt to come in and sign on?

it depends if whether what they are asking of you is classed as mandatory or not. remember though if you agree to something that isnt mandatory it does become mandatory once you agree. you would then need your advisers permission to get out of it if you didnt like it. as far as as jobs go they can send you for jobs but its rare and they cant make them offer you the job.

any idea what is mandatory?

if it doesnt say on any related paperwork and they dont voluntarily tell you then just ask them when they are talking about you doing something. most things will be mandatory though.

Hi all,

I've been on the work programme with Seetec for two months now, and told my adviser on Friday that I had two interviews today so that i wouldn't be sanctioned for missing group job search.

I told her which company one of the interviews was, (she demanded to know company and location threatening me with sanctions etc.).

I just found out today I got the job at the company I told her about but I don't want them claiming any payment or contacting my employer.

Do I write a letter to Seetec's Headoffice or where I attend removing consent and can they still contact where i'm working after I told them where the interview was when I sign off?

Thanks
Email info@seetec.co.uk ASAP and ask for a response but also email your advisor at Seetec too WITHDRAW consent.

You do not have to give them any info on where you are going and make sure they have you down as not attended the job search due to interview because I know they will try to say you failed to attend.

Make sure you email me them to tell them you are going to a job interview

if the headlines are to be believed from the Tory conference looks like we'll all be joining you with the daily signings Leroy

as for me Nick the Pr*ck has turned out to be really quite laid back and fair and not the jobsworth I first took him for thank goodness - he has got me going weekly to some stupid one hour session using their computers which starts next week but he confided in me that a lot of his claimants are being made to do 4 weeks mandatory slave labour so he gave me the soft option

I hope they have enough money to pay for all the travel expenses.

£5.40 for every visit to job centre = £27. per week.
Times that for everybody who has to travel by public transport to either job centre or slave labour camps and youre talking a lot of bucks.

Do you think they have got the money for that.

Dont think so.

No I think not as the WP would only pay at certain times or the day and week and only the price of a bus not the train or car.

It says you get fares paid if you have to go to the JC at any other time other than signing so lets see.

Plus it will all be at rush hour so a lot more ££ to dish out and I bet its in arrears too.
